On the 15th February 2020, we reported several
cases of abducted members of IPOB who were on their way to the home of Mazi
Nnamdi Kanu for the funeral of his parents.
The Nigeria security personnel blocked several roads
searching commuters and anyone suspected to be coming for the funeral, was
abducted and locked up in an unknown destination.
Today, we continued to comb every Police station to seek
for their release because they have not committed any crime. Luckily, we were
able to locate seventeen members at States CID Umuahia and fifteen of them were
released to us.
From the interview with them, one person was shot and he
was bleeding seriously. The man was separated from them and taken to a
different location. While others were tortured with machetes. The other two are
still in custody.
We shall continue to comb for the other members who are
still missing as at this minute. There are over fifty missing members of
Biafrans who were kidnapped by Nigeria Police on their way to the funeral at
about 10 different locations.
It is a shame that Nigeria is still swimming in impunity.
IPOB will continue to push for the quick disintegration of NIGERIA for BIAFRA
to emerge. No amount of intimidation can stop that.
