The Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) in Ebonyi state, Abakaliki
province on Friday 13th November, 2018 inaugurated Ikenyi family zone at Izzi
LGA Ebonyi north senatorial district; Ebonyi state.
The event marking the inauguration which took place at the heart of
Ikenyi community had in attendance the Ebonyi state IPOB coordinator Mazi Igwe
Ogbonnaya, the state legal head Barrister Orogwu Cyril, The state media head
Mazi Ogeh Friday Igiri, Ebonyi north senatorial district coordinator Mazi
Wisdom Ezike Nwanbam as well as the Izzi LGA coordinator Mazi Ishioko Jacob and
many other coordinators and principal officers from other zones and units in
Ebonyi north senatorial district.
Members of the community from the entire villages of Ikenyi both men,
women, children and youths of existing IPOB members and the newly identified
members equally attended the inauguration.
While addressing the people before the inauguration took place, Mazi
Igwe Ogbonnaya who expressed optimism over the crowd that attended the inauguration
event appreciated the efforts of the unit coordinators that made up Ikenyi zone
especially the zonal coordinator, Mazi Uguru Philip whom despite his
engagements in Abakaliki the capital city of Ebonyi state; abandoned it to
bring the good news of Biafra restoration to his people at the rural area of
Ikenyi in Izzi LGA.
While educating the people on the activities of IPOB and Mazi Nnamdi
Kanu in the struggle to restore Biafra as a sovereign nation from the British
contraption called Nigeria, he noted that "Nigeria was never created by
God but men and it is bound to fail because the country has expired in 2014 as
it was fabricated to last for only 100 years". He added that Biafra may
not conduct referendum before their total freedom but could not give detailed
information about the assertion.
Immediately after his speech, the Ebonyi north senatorial district
coordinator Mazi Wisdom Ezike ushered in the Izzi LGA coordinator to the stage,
to perform the official inauguration; which he conducted and handed over to the
Zonal coordinator Mazi Uguru Philip and the zonal principal officers.
The IPOB head of the legal team in Ebonyi state, Barrister Orogwu Cyril
after encouraging them to remain strong and determined in the quest to restore
Biafra, assured them that the legal team of Ebonyi state IPOB are always
available to assist and render their selfless services to them at any point in
time especially on the matters of IPOB and her members. He added that they will
never allow for the oppressing and molestation of IPOB members in the state
either by the governmental agencies who are out to afflict the poor masses with
unnecessary rules and policies.
Mazi Uguru Philip, the Ikenyi zonal coordinator while addressing the
people on his closing remark, appreciated those who attended the inauguration
and prayed Chukwu-Okike-Abiama to continue to bless and guide them in all their
endeavours, he assured IPOB leadership of loyalty and his readiness to deliver
his community and the entire Izzi during referendum conduction if that would
take place to gratify the freedom of Biafra. He also pointed out that come
2019, during the Nigeria organized general elections; that they are not going
to participate in the election because they have denounced Nigeria and everything
about the failed nation.
Many other persons who spoke with the media on and off air were very
glad to be among those agitating for the freedom of Biafra, the kingdom of God
on earth.
They promised to work assiduously alongside their coordinators in their
various units to make sure the needful is done as to deliver to their
requirements.
