Biafra: Notwithstanding the dilemma before Nyako, she must find courage to do the needful, Nnamdi Kanu must be free!

One can imagine the daunting challenge before Justice Binta Nyako, the new judge adjudicating the trial of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).  Three different judges have adjudicated this case, but the intransigence of Nigerian current maximum ruler, Muhammadu Buhari, have rubbished the case.

Thrice Kanu’s freedom was declared by the courts; thrice Buhari had ordered his henchmen at the Department of State Security (DSS) not to release him. The DSS have been formulating new trumped-up charges against him, hoping to nail him by it. But each time the new charges always looked stupider than the previous ones.

This is why, even though the case files read Nigeria versus Nnamdi Kanu; Biafrans were not deceived that it was a case between Buhari and Kanu. Just as Buhari would pressure his goons at the DSS to find was of jailing Kanu, so has he been pressuring judges to jail him. Those that refused to do his bidding; he has sent his DSS to manufacture offences with which to apprehend them; while those that agreed to do his bidding, like John Tsoho, IPOB has been disgraced for life by IPOB.

When Buhari talked down on Nigerian Judiciary boasting that he would never release Kanu, he made everybody aware of what the case was all about – an attempt to intimidate and subjugate Biafrans; to frighten them from continuing in their legitimate aspiration of campaigning from Biafra exit from Nigeria.

This is why Biafrans are not under any illusions the kind of pressure Binta Nyako would be going through now as she took over the case.  They were right because intelligence information reaching the desk of Biafra Choice Writers is that the lady has been under serious pressure from the Nigerian Hitler, Buhari.

There was the information of Buhari threatening to jail her husband Murtala Nyako, a retired Rear Admiral with the Nigerian Navy. He was once the Governor of his state, and was being charged for corruption. Buhari has been threatening her that if she failed to do his will concerning Nnamdi Kanu, that he would resurrect the case and make sure that her husband is jailed.

Notwithstanding, we expect that Binta Nyako must find courage to do the right thing by freeing Nnamdi Kanu. That would be better for her in the long run because she will be writing her name in gold. The time has come when the courageous must stand to be counted. Buhari may present himself as a god at this time, but that is foolishness because he is not.

This is not the first time we have seen men with maximum powers fool themselves by acting God. In the end they all went through the ways of all men – death. Some did not even have the privilege of death before they were booted out of power and disgraced. Buhari’s role model, Mossi of Egypt is a current example.

The time has come when might must no longer be allowed to be right. This is the time when right must be right. The likes of wicked Buhari must be resisted and disgraced. Nnamdi Kanu must be free! Biafra must be free!
