THE Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in Ebonyi state on Sunday 19th May, 2019 officially inaugurated Abakaliki local government area of the Indigenous People Of Biafra in Abakaliki province.

The inauguration was massively attended by the members of IPOB in Abakaliki the capital of Ebonyi state, as well as principal officers from the three senatorial districts in the Ebonyi state and many coordinators from the thirteen local government areas in the state.

Among the personalities who attended the inauguration across the state were the Ebonyi state IPOB coordinator, Mazi Igwe Ogbonnaya, the leader Supreme clergy council of Biafra Ebonyi state chapter, Bishop Nwachinerem Stanley, The Ebonyi state Media head, Mazi Ogeh Friday Igiri, The state welfare officer, Mazi Iduma Onyemachi, the state finance officer Lolo Nwachukwu Jane, the state protocol officer Mazi Ozoemena Ezeta James, the state financial secretary Mazi Ovuta Samuel, Prince Ogba Kingsley and others.


The Ebonyi Central senatorial district coordinator Mazi Nwankwo Ikechukwu, Ebonyi South senatorial district coordinator, Rev. Oko Elijah and the host senatorial district coordinator, Mazi Ezike Wisdom Nwambam, the four local government area coordinators in Ebonyi north all attended the inauguration, Mazi Ojima Kenneth Ohaukwu LGA coordinator, Mazi Jacob Isioko Izzi LGA coordinator, Mazi Okeh Chukwuma Ebonyi LGA coordinator and the host Mazi Udoka Stephen Abakaliki local government area coordinator were also present in the inauguration with their executives.


Many dignitaries and lovers of freedom within and outside Abakaliki the capital of Ebonyi state attended the event, which featured lots of varieties of entertainments and educative programs designed for the benefits of the heterogeneous audience and Biafrans all over the world.

Programs that made the event colourful and attractive were different presentations from the children, the women, the wonderful cultural musical performances, above all, the enthusiastic series of live music band with different mind-blowing Biafra songs.

The inauguration was done alongside all the departments of IPOB in the local government area, the women department which was done by Lolo Nwachukwu Jacinta the state deputy women leader who represented the state women leader, Evangelist Chioma Iwuala who was in Ghana for an assignment as at the time of the inauguration. She urged the women to give their total support to men both in the struggle and their various homes, reminding them that, "women are nation builders and we must start from our various homes and units of IPOB down to wherever we may find ourselves in the society".


The Supreme Elders Council of Biafra, Abakaliki local government area chapter was equally inaugurated by Elder Onu Eugene who represented the state elders leader in the occasion, on his speech before the inauguration, he assured IPOB leadership that Biafra restoration is sacrosanct, according to him "the elders of the land has unanimously gathered to give their total support to IPOB, so move on and never give up".


On the other hand, the local government area Supreme Clergy Council was also inaugurated by Bishop Nwachinerem Stanley, their state leader, among those who performed the inauguration with him were his deputy, Pastor John Eze and his executives, they took time to pray for IPOB in Abakaliki province and the leader of IPOB worldwide, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu (Ihe nkembu na ala Biafra).

The LGA inauguration was done by Ebonyi North senatorial district coordinator, Mazi Wisdom Ezike Nwambam on the order of Mazi Igwe Ogbonnaya, the Ebonyi state coordinator who monitored the whole processes.

The event also featured football match played among the women and men categories in the local government area, on the two series of football match played in honour of the Biafra Heroes and Heroines; the Biafra team defeated Nigeria team with three goals to nothing in the women category, while the Biafra team defeated Nigeria team with two goals to nothing in the men category of the football match.


The Ebonyi state coordinator of IPOB Mazi Igwe Ogbonnaya on his educative speech to the people before the inauguration, appreciated the efforts of the local government area for the wonderful event they organized, he encouraged them never to relent till Biafra is totally restored, he further made it known to them that "nothing shall stop IPOB in Ebonyi state, not even the intimidation by the government and the security operatives, we have grown beyond barricade, very soon we shall stop all forms of molestations on our members in all parts of the state, because we're the owners of the land." He notified them that the supreme leader of IPOB worldwide Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, is happy with the level of efforts exhibited by the people of Ebonyi state in the struggle to restore Biafra, therefore the need to keep the fire burning unquenchable.


He emphasized on the Sit at home order by the leadership of IPOB on 30th May, 2019 in remembrance and honour of the Biafra Heroes and Heroines, he stated that all Biafrans and members of IPOB in the state and beyond must observe the 'Sit At Home'.

On his speech, the Abakaliki local government area coordinator Mazi Udoka Stephen expressed his unlimited joy on the overwhelming cooperation and support given to his administration by his zealous members and lovers of freedom, he appreciated the efforts of his zonal, unit coordinators and other principal officers; he also prayed for the divine protection and guidance of the frontiers in the agitation for the total emancipation of Biafra from the slavery of the British contraption called Nigeria. He prayed Chukwuokike Abiama to continue to protect his son and servant, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who is leading the struggle to restore his kingdom on Earth.

Our correspondents Mazi Ogeh Friday Igiri, Henry Nwankwegu, Ogbuka Franklin, Lolo Ibeh Amarachi and Franklin Innocent who were there confirmed that the event is one among the best organized in the state since the IPOB agitation for Biafra restoration anchored by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
