THE Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) in Ebonyi state (Abakaliki province) on Sunday 28, October 2018 officially inaugurated Okposi-Okwu family unit in Okposi Ohaozara LGA Ebonyi state.

The inauguration was massively attended by men, women, youths and children from the area.

Addressing the members of the family unit before the inauguration, Rev. Okoh Elijah the Ebonyi South senatorial district coordinator, appreciated the efforts so far exhibited by the members of the unit in supporting the activities of the senatorial, local government and state though not yet being inaugurated, he encouraged them to remain indefatigable knowing it fully well that Biafra restoration is non-negotiable, and there would be no need to either retreat or surrender till total freedom is achieved.

The Inauguration was performed by   Bishop Nwachinemere Stanley AKA (Biafra Bishop) the Public Relations Officer of the Indigenous People Of Biafra Ebonyi State. Speaking before the inauguration, he noted that Biafra has come to stay and there is nothing anybody can do about it and that's why many people are clamouring to join IPOB today, especially after the IPOB supreme leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu reappeared in Israel after a year and some months that the murderous Nigeria army invaded his home, which led to the killing of more than 28 IPOB members who paid him a courtesy visit on the 14th September, 2017. He equally urged them to get ready for what is to come because the end of the struggle may not be peaceful as some persons think of, but to be on a safer side, "You have to be careful and get more prepared for what is to come". The Bishop noted that why he doesn’t regret his actions in the involvement of the struggle for Biafra restoration and total freedom from the British contraption called Nigeria is because gospel preaching is also more of liberation from the yoke of the devil and there would be no way you will separate freedom fighting from gospel preaching.

Shortly after the inauguration the local government area coordinator of Ohoazara Pastor Michael Tochukwu, expressed his joy over the level of cooperation by the members of the unit in making sure that the Local government area is moving on as it ought to.

Mrs Mercy Okokpara the wife of Ebonyi south senatorial district coordinator as well as the financial secretary to the family unit while speaking with the media said " We cannot give up in fighting for Biafra freedom because it is our only hope".

The unit coordinator Mazi Jideofor Ikwegwu while speaking with the media after the inauguration expressed joy over the achievement of Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB so far in the struggle for Biafra restoration, he noted that nothing under the earth would ever make him to give up the agitation for the total freedom of Biafra, as regard to Biafra referendum he assured IPOB of delivering %100 vote YES for Biafra exit from Nigeria from his jurisdiction.

The inauguration was equally attended by some Biafra war veterans in the area, some who spoke to the people during the ceremony marking the inauguration narrated their ordeal during the bloody war in 1967-1970. They made it known to the world and all the members of IPOB worldwide that they will never retreat or surrender in supporting the freedom of Biafra not minding what it will cost.
