AT least two persons has been reported dead while many sustained various
degrees of injuries and one kidnapped alongside the commercial bus following
the attack by unknown gunmen in Ikwo LGA Ebonyi state.
The incident took place along Ikwo Noyo Abakaliki express way on the
early hours of Monday 25, June 2018.
According to an eye witness who called in to report the ugly incident
attack carried out by unknown gunmen at Ikwo, he said while on telephone call
that "The hoodlums came out from the bush and launched the attack on the
18 seaters bus which loaded at Ikwo Noyo heading to Abakaliki the capital city
of Ebonyi state that early morning before the attack.
As at the time of this report, nothing has been gathered on the way
about of the hoodlums and the kidnapped victim and the bus or even who they were
and their mission.
The dead victim bodies were taken to mortuary while those who sustained
injuries were taken to hospital for treatment as investigation over the matter
commences.
