Pictures of the traditional attire given to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, by IPOB Enugu state chapter, was recently seen on social media to the admiration of his followers worldwide.
Recall that on Friday, 11th of May, 2017, the IPOB Enugu state Coordinator, Mazi Ikechukwu Egbo Nwodo, paid a homage to the IPOB leader in company of the state executives, IPOB Enugu Ministers Forum and some members of the Indigenous People of Biafra from the state.
It was during that visit to the IPOB leader, that Mazi Egbo Nwodo, presented the traditional wear to Nnamdi Kanu, after his address to the members.
Nnamdi Kanu on his part, accepted the gift with gladdened heart, while asking them to continue in their good works in ensuring that Biafra is restored.
Mazi Ikechukwu Egbo Nwodo after the presentation, said it was a honourable gift to the IPOB leader who has sacrificed his life and all he has for the Biafra struggle, adding that he is very much happy seeing Nnamdi Kanu in the traditional outfit.
He said; “The Royal regalia as presented to our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is a sign of respect and gratitude for his immeasurable good works and efforts towards the Biafra restoration project.
“It is not even enough to pacify for his sacrifice in this struggle. Nnamdi Kanu has taken the Biafra struggle to the high heavens where we never thought it will reach today and so I am very grateful that he wholeheartedly accepted the Royal regalia that we presented to him and I also assured him during my meeting with him that we are strongly behind him and will never let him down come what may happen.”
