Today, Wednesday, March 1, 2017, Nnamdi Kanu, leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Director of Radio Biafra and Biafra Television, goes to court again. This time around, he goes to court incontrovertibly as the greatest living Biafran leader. He has succeeded in showing the world what Nigeria is – a useless contraption that must be dismembered and flushed down the toilet.
Without doubt, Nigerians must have understood by now
that holding him in detention is foolishness they can no longer afford. No
wonder many of them have started ruing the illegal detention and trial, and
asking for his immediate and unconditional release. But the question is, “will
the deaf and dumb government of Nigeria listen, which is now in the hands of a
pastor who tells lies at will, Yemi Osinbajo?”
One thing is certain, however, whether they listen
or not; whether they continue to keep him in detention or not, it is at their
own peril. Since they abducted him, they have seen their country hurtling down
a dangerous slope into oblivion. They have seen the economic, political, and
social wellbeing deteriorating uncontrollably.
Just recently, World Food agencies indicated that
about 4. 4 Billion Dollars was needed to feed some famine and
starvation-streaking Nigerians. The reported indicated
that “UN aid agencies need $4.4 billion in emergency funding to address famine
in Nigeria, Somalia, South Sudan and Yemen.”
Biafrans are not surprised. They remember that
Nnamdi Kanu warned about this more than two years ago. In 2014, Kanu had
declared to the world that if Nigeria failed to give Biafrans their
well-deserved freedom, that Nigeria would be worse than Somali. Indeed he said
that failing to allow Biafra its independence that he would use truth to
destroy Nigeria. But they took his statement as that of a drunken man.
But they were preoccupied with their relying on
their so-called military might, with which they had always used to terrorize
people. They threw caution and wisdom to the dogs that they are now reaping the
consequences already. Nigerians did not reason that Biafra’s freedom was a
legitimate aspiration, and well-deserved because Nigeria had already expired.
Amalgamated in January 1, 1914 to last for 100 years, the country legally
ceased to exist on December 31, 2014. The Nigerians did not reason the truth
that Nigeria was already a running-illegality, being governed by a forged
document (called constitution). It was a document forged by Nigerian military
criminals and other adventurers in power, led by Abdulsalami Abubakar, who used
to forgery to steal the peoples’ wealth and resources.
Just recently, Nigeria’s terrorist president,
Muhamadu Buhari, who has killed and murdered Nigerians so much that he ran
himself into a cul-de-sac, went into hiding. He went into hiding to see whether
his deputy could dig him out of the hole he dug himself into. Now the ball is
in the court of Osinbajo, he must release himself today or dig his own hole for
himself. Kanu must be free!
