Kanu: a man of integrity
Uche Mefor, Deputy Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has responded to the latest lies of Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), describing them as opportunists who think Biafra is for sale.

Re: “Nnamdi Kanu is a hypocrite, he secretly accepted to renounce Biafra”

With reference to the above statement, credited to MEND, we make bold to state unequivocally that Biafra is not for Sale, and that MEND is a spent force that consists of opportunists and Political Contractors that should not be taken serious.
We are indeed not unaware of the far-reaching adverse impact of the visionless and directionless social policy and economic thrust of this present government of Muhammadu Buhari on individuals, groups and institutions. Hunger is everywhere and political contractors are no doubt jostling for contracts, and struggling to undo one another. But more troubling are those who are doing these things with a view to selling the collective interest of their own people for their own parochial and selfish interest. MEND is understandably, and so pitiably within this equation and contemplation. Their ignorance obviously is no longer an excuse for erring especially when the life of a people is at stake.
MEND, you may have been contracted and commissioned to fight your brothers (Niger Delta Avengers) who have been standing up against social injustice, marginalization  and economic strangulation of the fortunes of the inhabitants of the coastal region of Biafraland which you feign ignorance of. Virtually everything has been removed from your people including their dignity: no motor-able roads; no reputable schools for your children; no drinking water as quite a number of the people drink from the same water they defecate and urinate in; there are decades of willful and conscious environmental degradation arising from unimpeded gas flaring; and oil exploration that have caused collateral damages to both human and aquatic lives.
Unfortunately, your resolve to continue on the path of perdition has plunged innocent unsuspecting victims into untold hardship Nnamdi Kanu is a man of integrity, an enigma, an iroko, a colossus, and a man of immense proportions – who can never sabotage nor sell out. When you asserted that ‘Nnamdi Kanu is a hypocrite, he secretly accepted to renounce Biafra’, we challenge you to give us the evidence of time, document and witnesses present when Nnamdi Kanu agreed to ‘negotiate’. You make that statement because you do not know Kanu.
For the fact that you betrayed your own people pretending to be fighting for them in the morning but turned around in the night to collect bribe, mortgaged your consciences and sabotaged in the end does not mean that Nnamdi Kanu will do same. Biafra is NOT for sale and our struggle for our collective self-emancipation can never be commercialised.
You are merchants. IPOB under Nnamdi Kanu are human rights crusaders and freedom fighters and people of conscience. All of you serving Muhammadu Buhari will come back disgraced. Rotimi Amaechi who has been providing you with false hope will soon abandon you soon when the criminal amnesty program will run out of steam. Your decision to accept bribe to fight your brothers will no doubt have far-reaching consequences on all of you in due time.
Uche Mefor: IPOB Deputy Leader
Once again, Biafra restoration is priceless and our platform is NOT one for political contractors for but that people of honour and integrity. We know Nnamdi Kanu, and that is what he stands for and represents.

Uche Mefor
Deputy Leader,
Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)
