| Obama and Buhari: What chemistry? |

(USA) will be taking another opportunity to shake the bloodstained hands of
Muhammadu Buhari, Nigerian President. This will be taking place any time
between March 30 and April 1, 2016, when the US President hosts the Nuclear
Security Summit.
The fact that this would be the third time Obama
will be welcoming Buhari who came into power less than a year ago, presents a
good food for thought. What is the source of the friendship between the two? How come Obama has not seen the inappropriateness
of his country (noted for its respect and protection of human rights),
associating with the likes of Muhammadu Buhari? Is it not incomprehensible that
Obama would be welcoming a certified blood-cuddling dictator from Africa, to
the USA for the third time? Does it mean the USA President is not aware of
Buhari’s numerous crimes?
As a matter of fact, that Obama is still willing to
welcome Buhari again is puzzling. Indeed, it is the belief of many people,
especially Biafrans, that Obama should have seen the impropriety of still
wanting to shake Buhari’s bloodstained hand and listen to his irritatingly
incoherent language, long before now. Buhari is a criminal.
A war criminal, Buhari was the one that took
soldiers to a church in Owerri (now Imo State capital) to massacre innocent
women, children and the aged who ran to the church to take refuge from his
rampaging troops. He promised he was going to do worse to Biafrans as President
in the current dispensation, and he is doing just that. This is the kind of man
the USA President has been associating with.
It is on record that immediately Buhari shot himself
into power as military head of state in 1984 (a treasonable offence), he set
about persecuting his perceived enemies. Many of them who were politicians, he
gave outrageous jail terms, up to 100 to 240 years.
One of the first things he did was to commence the
printing of new currencies (with new colours) for the country. The intention
was to render illegally acquired funds in the hands of the people useless. To
make the programme effective, borders were closed to persons and goods and it
was to make sure nobody smuggled in the old currencies into the country.
However, as dubious and hypocritical as Buhari has always been, he allowed the
smuggling of 53 suit-cases into the country, which many people believed
contained the old currencies. Talk about a leader undermining the good of his
country. This is Obama’s friend.
Another thing Buhari did was to stage the murder of
three Nigerian youths with a retroactive law, just as he is now plotting to
have Nnamdi Kanu of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) assassinated since he
could not convict him on trumped up charges. Will Obama say he does not know
about this?
Buhari is a kidnapper. He arranged the kidnaping of
Umaru Dikko from his home in London in 1984. The kidnapping was done by putting
Dikko in a crate as Nigeria’s diplomatic cargo. It took the brilliance of the
British Police to thwart the kidnap arranged by Buhari as head of state. Now,
even before Buhari became Nigeria’s military head of state, he had already been
suffused in the controversy of a missing N2.8 Billion under his watch as
minister of petroleum.

Buhari is a master at using fronts to commit
atrocious frauds as well. He has done it with his wife, his aides and even his
family members. Has Obama not wondered why Buhari’s wife, Aisha Buhari, has not
travelled with him to the USA for? Obama should recall that on Buhari’s first official
visit to the USA, he was given a list of perpetrators of the Halliburton
bribery scandal. Those who gave it to him expected that he would use it to
launch his anti-corruption programme, which he so noisily campaigned with
during the elections. But he has not because the name of his wife, Aisha, is on
the list. And this is a case in which high-ranking British and USA citizens
have been jailed.
Does Obama want the world to believe that the highly
efficient USA secret service has not revealed to him that Buhari stole with
Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF)? In 1995, General Sani Abacha, the military head of
state of Nigeria, increased the pump price of petrol from N3. 25 to N11.
According to Abacha, the extra fund to be derived from the increase would be
used to distribute for social and infrastructural projects. Abacha said he was
looking for an honest Nigerian to administer the fund under the PTF.
Unfortunately for Nigerians, Buhari at the time was still able to veil his
criminal nature and people accepted him as Abacha’s choice. It is on record
that by the time the story of PTF ended in 1999, Buhari had stolen from it to
the tune of billions through his many fronts.
Then there was the case of the former National
Security Adviser who was being hounded by his government for the way he shared
the security vote of former President Goodluck Jonathan. It is record that no
government has ever been questioned as to how they used their security vote,
but Buhari chose to open that of Jonathan just to embarrass him and give the
impression he was fighting corruption. Incidentally, it was discovered that he
also received from the money shared through his Personal Assistant, Sabi’u
Yusuf, to the tune of N850 million. This was reportedly domiciled in Yusuf’s
Access Bank account with Account number: 0045586381. Yusuf is also Buhari’s
nephew.

At this point, it must be stated that Obama is well
aware of all the atrocities of Buhari against the innocent Biafran people (his
fellow blacks), by having his soldiers shoot and kill them during peaceful
protests, as well as clamping many of them into prison. Obama knows that Buhari has been persecuting
Nnamdi Kanu, Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and he has urged
Buhari on by accepting his evil visits to the USA.
The time has come when Obama should be told in clear
