MAZI IGWE OGBONNAYA IPOB EBONYI COORDINATOR UNDER SERIOUS TORTURE FROM THE NIGERIA POLICE IN ABAKALIKI

Information reaching our news desk as at about 9am of Sunday 23rd August, 2020 have it that the Nigeria police in Abakaliki Ebonyi state are seriously torturing Mazi Igwe Ogbonnaya IPOB Ebonyi state Coordinator and Mazi Clement Michael were abducted at Ugwulangwu Ohaozara LGA Ebonyi state on 18th August, 2020. 

Clement Mary who was abducted alongside Mazi Igwe Ogbonnaya but was secretly released at night on 21st August, 2020 when her health issues as a pregnant lady worsened in the police custody, she told the media that Mazi Igwe Ogbonnaya and Clement Michael are seriously being tortured in the Nigeria police headquarters at Abakaliki where they are illegally being detained.

She told the media that the police are torturing them bitterly with an aim to admit to a crime they know nothing about, they were levelled with murder and conspiracy but there was no record of any murder of a Fulani herdsman within the area they alleged that the incident took place.

IPOB intelligent unit revelled that the Ebonyi state governor Engr. David Nwaeze Umahi have a special interest in the matter just to suppress IPOB activities in Ebonyi state and frustrate the members, especially Mazi Igwe Ogbonnaya and other principal officers.

IPOB family members in Ebonyi state are putting the world to notification the level of illegalities being committed in Ebonyi state by the government and her security operatives against IPOB family members.

Efforts made by IPOB legal team representative in Ebonyi state to free them so far has proved abortive as more efforts are being put in action to secure their unconditional release soon.

Indeed, there is a serious reign of impunity in the Nigeria police force against the innocent citizens, especially in Ebonyi state Abakaliki province of Biafra.
