I want to begin this part with an excerpt from Femi Fani-Kayode's article titled The lion of the East; it says, Those from outside Igboland that say that they do not want Biafra have missed the point. It is for the people of the EastEast to make that call and to make that decision and not for you.
Often times, there is no reason to do good. Still, there is always a sign, evidence for doing good, and where it is done, including those who enjoy this goodness or dividends of good deeds, and Igweocha Area 2 demonstrated this act in all ramifications. Hence, it is another significant sign of steadfastness in pursuit for the Restoration of Biafra for all in particular, Biafrans in general and Africans in totality.
The palliatives showcased the will of the people towards the struggle for the Restoration of Biafra other than those paying lip service to it. It demonstrated the zeal, transparency, courage, motive.
The COVID-19 Palliatives that was delivered to IPOB In Biafra-land by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu with instructions on sharing modalities registered Mixed reactions that trailed the distribution of this relief materials to all parts of Biafra land, hence it didn't distract these noble souls, they made it a duty and obligation to instead of complaining as many would have done, decided to make freely willed donations to support Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
Items collated and distributed are rice, beans, onions, indomie noodles, and many more,
places visited were:
* Love of Christ Orphanage
* Motherless Babies Home, Oyigbo
* Jesus Orphanage Home, Elelenwo
* Poor of Christ Orphanage Home, Akpajo.
Other beneficiaries were:
* Widows
* Physically challenged individuals
* And Biafra war veterans, based in apajo
The rampaging news about Covid-19 and its menace, as well as its effects, is no longer news to so many. It is a massive pandemic.
This pandemic has caused the shutdown of activities in most parts of Biafra land, thereby holding Biafrans ransom on who have little or nothing to hold unto during this shutdown. The efforts of these great warriors cannot go without recognition because they did what is right at the right time and to the right people and places.
I was very impressed with them, and when I heard their past stories and what some of them had become, it made me believe that they were in for the right moment.
They have been placed in the lion's den, but the lions and their prey became the best of friends, Yet in all this, they are not moved and neither have they ever been broken or silenced because, like the biblical Job, "they know that their Redeemer liveth.
Since the outbreak of the coronavirus in Nigeria in late February, the IPOB through her Supreme leadership Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been supporting the Government of Nigeria to respond to the pandemic through risk communications and community engagement, infection prevention and control, epidemiology/surveillance and management of coronavirus cases.
Working with government and other partners, the IPOB is developing and disseminating messages, infographics, and audio-visual material informing the public about the risks of COVID-19 across the country, and how to protect oneself.
However, they have refused to bow to falsehood, and they have also refused to succumb to the blackmail and intimidation coming from unexpected comrades.
They are the warriors of the EastEast, as they are previously called "Igweocha warriors": I stand by them, I love them, and I salute their courage. O that we had more of their ilk in our shores. May God defend them and may the Ancient of Days guide and protect them. (CONCLUDED).
