AS at the time of this report, the soldiers of the Nigeria army that laid siege at Umuogudu Akpu following their allegation that one of their soldiers was killed in the Umuogudu Akpu have vacated the community after destroying property worth millions, they left the innocent people of Umuogudu Akpu Ngbo in great mourning and gnashing of teeth.

Many have been rendered homeless, as the brutal soldiers angrily set their houses on fire including yam bans on Friday night, 18th April, 2020 when they invaded the community.

Currently the community and the neighbouring communities are living in fear, great pandemonium has covered the entire community as a result of the ceaseless attack and mayhem unleashed on them by the Nigeria army.

Many from the community were abducted by the soldiers on Friday and Saturday 17th and 18th of April, 2020. Others whom they had previously abducted are yet to regain their freedom from detention.


The economy of the affected community has been badly weakened, Agriculture which is their major means of livelihood source of their income have been crippled through burning of their yam ban with yams stocked in it.

The community health centre at the affected community have also been paralyzed as a result of the attacks, this has jeopardized the health of the people, leading to more dead casualties due to late treatment or lack of it.

More damages and casualties have been gathered from the scene of the ugly incident as seen on the pictures attached to this publication.

People no longer stay at their homes, not to talk of farming despite that this is farming season.

Those who survived the brutality at Umuogudu Akpu community are still calling for help from the international communities, they affirmed that, they have lost hope and confidence on the Nigeria government, they said they have called for their intervention but was ignored.

Gathering more opinions and reactions from people on the matter, many were of the opinion that Nigeria should be divided and let Biafra go on their separate way including Arewa and Oduduwa, their yearning and quest proved it beyond reasonable doubt that Nigeria is an expired country which need to be discarded.

They affirmed that their hope is on the restoration of Biafra as sovereign state.
