For one to achieve success in freedom fighting, he needs a lot of sacrifice and determination. It doesn't matter how long, what matters is how well. Nelson Mandela spent 27 years in prison because of South Africans freedom, and today they are free from Apartheid, discrimination and intimidation. South Sudan fought for 30 years, and they become an Independent Nation. Biafrans fought civil War with Nigeria from May 1967 ---1970 (two and half years) and capitulated, they are still being killed as slaves in the hands of Nigerians presently and continuously.

IPOB (Indigenous peoples of Biafra) led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has come to correct the mistakes made by Biafrans between 1967 and1970. They started with open or public agitation for the freedom of Biafra in 2014. Since then, they have been steadfast in their agitation despite the difficulties they have come their way. Since then, Nigerian security forces have been killing them in mass. They murdered them at Onitsha, Head Bridge, Nkpor, National high school Aba, Afara Uku Ibeku Umuahia to mention but few.

Apart from killing them, many were detained, missing, and sustained various degrees of injuries. Yet they have not retreated nor surrendered. They promised to continue, even though they have no weapons. They are emulating the people of Eritrea who got their freedom from Ethiopia. These people fought with almost nothing; an entire village was wiped out, yet they continued until they achieve victory. IPOB ought to continue, they have suffered even more attacks than the people of Eritrea, and one day they shall gain their freedom from Nigeria just like Eritrea did from Ethiopia.

Another encouragement is from their ancestors or their forebearers, "Ekumeku" who fought the British without guns and bullets. They chased the British out of their Land, the foreigners came to destroy their culture and Tradition, but they refused. Biafrans were the last of the Nigerian ethnic groups to be defeated by the British, that is why they hate Biafrans so much. The people then were so close and spoke with one voice. They took an oath always to be together and never to betray, that was their binding force. They so much believed and respected that oath that they couldn't do without it.

It prevented them from having saboteurs among them, which led to their success. You know how destructive and dangerous those saboteurs could be. No wonder the leader of IPOB Mazi Nnamdi Kanu mandated that before you become an IPOB member, you must be under oath. Saboteurs played a significant role that led to the loss of the Biafra / Nigeria civil war. Nnamdi Kanu is making sure that such nonsense does not repeat itself so that we can come out victorious. This time, it is going to be once and for all. We shall not remain freedom fighters from generation to generation.
Restoration of Biafra is our only hope.
