THE Nigeria National Petroleum Cooperation (NNPC)
required for ten thousand hectares of land in Onicha local government area of
Ebonyi state, according to NNPC the land is going to be used for construction
of mega filling station branch of the Nigeria oil firm in the area and use some
part for Agricultural purposes for cash crop productions.

Ebonyi media that the federal government of Nigeria which has remained in the
forefront of the RUGA settlement of the Fulani herdsmen in all parts of Biafra
land is using NNPC as a camouflage to confiscate the land from the people of
Onicha as to pave way for Fulani herdsmen to come in and take over the land
from the genuine owners.
The 10,000 hectares of land mapped out for the project is
legitimately owned by the people of Agbabor and Isu communities precisely in
Onicha LGA of Ebonyi state.
Report from our correspondent in Onicha LGA on this
development has it that some notable
and influential Nigerian politicians which hail from the jurisdiction have been
aiding the actualization of the goal to confiscate the land from the people in
order to sustain their political ambitions and selfish interests to the
detriment of the people.
Speaking with some members of the communities of Agbabor
and Isu the rightful owners of the land on what they feel as a result of the
situation, some who spoke on the condition of anonymity revealed that the
people do not accept giving out their land for any purpose to anybody or firm
even NNPC.
The people of Agbabor and Isu communities facing this
heinous crime plotted against them therefore called the attention of the world
to the atrocities being committed against them and the people of Biafra in
their own land.
In the effort to further suppress and subjugate the
people that owns the land into giving it out the Onicha LGA chairman Mr. Felix
Ogbonnaya established a new security outfit in the local government called
ISAKABA BOYS, they serve as task force for the government as well as punish
those who refused to obey government frivolous orders and politicians’ bids
irrespective of negative effects on the people.
So far, the owners of the land have remained undefeated
on their decision as they vowed never to give their land to anybody or group of
people for any reason or whatsoever.
Based on facts and figures ascertained on this scenario many
concluded that the land is not going to be used by NNPC for any construction of
their mega filling station but to hand it to Fulani herdsmen for RUGA
settlement.
