Miyetti Allah, the leaders of Fulani herdsmen recently
instructed all the Fulani men coming to South East of Nigeria known as Biafra,
to come with their families, unlike before that they were coming alone. The
reason is simple, this is complete fulanization and Islamisation of our region.
When they come with their families, it meant invariably they have come to
settle permanently without hope of going back again, tracing back on the memory
lane, the kind of life Fulani live, and their Islamisation establishing modus.
They will continue to increase on daily basis, before you
know it, they have formed a community.
They have started doing that already as at the time of
writing this report, they are already at Etiti Oha Owaza in Ukwa West Local
Government Area of Abia state. The Eze: the village head of that community is
called "His Royal Highness, Eze Obioma Nwogu". They have acquired many plots of land given
to them by Mr Nnanna Woke and Mr Okechukwu Kalu, they have over 250 and 80 huts
respectively on these lands, living comfortably with their families. They also
acquired lands from Chief Friday Nwaelele and Mr Sunday Oparacha of which they
are also going to build more Huts on the lands and all these Huts will be
occupied by then.
All these things cannot be going on without the knowledge
or the approval of the Eze of that community. If the people of Etiti Oha in Owaza
still want to be the owners of their community, they should stop them now, or
get ready to lose it. They should ask or read about the history of Fulani and
their conquering nature and see what will happen to them in the nearest future,
there is no two ways about it.
If the Eze and those mentioned have collected money or
any ransom, they should confront them to give it back and chase these people
out of their land now, the earlier the better. If they have come for cattle
business, it is a different thing altogether, but this time, it is no longer
business as usual so they should be followed accordingly. If the present
generation did not suffer it, the coming ones will certainly bear the brunt.
The interest and protection of the coming generation should be sacrosanct because
what keeps or makes a community is the ability to live from generation to
generation. You will be able to tell your history by yourself and not to allow
others do it for you.
Come to think of it, if the generation that lived before
sold off this community to strangers like Fulani or any other tribe, as you
have done presently, will there be any place called Etiti Oha in Owaza today?
Ask what Fulani did to Yoruba over most part of Kwara State and you will know
that it is not something to keep quiet at all. Don't allow the community to end
in your generation, stand up and do the needful now.
