On the 8th of October 2019, the formidable and gallant
women of Biafra Land shutdown the city of Aba, Abia province with a volatile
and fiery protest which shook the foundation of the city of Aba. It is agreed
that riot is a clear language for every human both the deaf and the blind.
These indefatigable women emerged boldly with the tag, "WOMEN FOR CHANGE
INITIATIVE AND EQUITY ORGANIZATION". They trooped into the streets
screaming in very clear terms that the looting of our Treasury by Government
Officials must Stop. They screamed very clearly that Aba must not be allowed to
shut down by the THIEVING GOVERNMENT of Okezie Ikpeazu. They matched in rage
calling out the Governor to declare Emergency in Aba or live to regret it.
Anyone who is familiar with Aba, can attest to the fact
that Aba has gradually shutdown for any sane human to reside in. All the
promises by each Government to turn things around has always turned fallacy.
There is no security of lives and properties, no single Government provision of
amenities, INFRASTRUCTURAL decay and Economic strangulation as a result of
deplorable infrastructures.
With grievance and total agony in high spirits, the Women
threatened to rebirth and lead the first Biafran women protest in Africa as a
whole against the present British slavery of this contraption called Nigeria.
It is exactly 90 years today when Aba Women Riot took
place. According to the Spokesperson Mrs Maryjane Ogbonna Ogbota, who stood
firm and unflinching, revealed to our Correspondent that the Chairman of Aba
South, in the person of MACRO AC OKAFOR tried to stop this match by bribing the
women with the sum of N1000.00 (One
thousand) each but unfortunately, we rejected him and his offer. We cannot be
bought. We are fighting for the future of our children. No Politician can buy
us over. This movement must continue and no going back.
In this 21st century, Nigerian politicians are still
campaigning to build good roads, good schools, hospital, market, etc. While
other countries are so advanced in technology, building nuclear weapons, etc.
To Aba South Chairman, they re-emphasized that the days
of bribery and corruption has gone, that there is no passion to be found
playing small in settling for a life that is less than the one they're capable
of living. Furthermore, in one voice, they made it clear that their journey is
not complete until there is assurance for their children's future.
Though the protest was held by the Aba South women only
in conjunction with Aba North, but it didn't prevent them from matching on the
agreed date and making great impact in the entire city.
They ended their protest by issuing a 100 Days ultimatum
to the Abia State Government to fix the horrible roads in Aba that was built by
His Excellency Sam Mbakwe over 4 decades ago or they would return with another
explosive protest that will shake this contraption called Nigeria and the whole
world at large.
BIAFRA remains the sure way to sanity in a failed State
like Nigeria.
