The wife of the Bishop of Ikeduru
Archdeaconry, Bishop Maduwuike was last night Kidnapped by Fulani herdsmen in
Imo state. She was Kidnapped on her way returning from Owerri to Atta and the
Terrorist blocked her at Ekemele and dragged her out of her car and took her
away to an unknown destination.
For safety of the woman, the
Archdeaconry have decided not to make the news public but an insider who
decided to be anonymous broke the news to our correspondence who was in the
state as when the incident occurred.
In the past we all knew how Fulani
Herdsmen have been on rampage, kidnapping, raping and killing many of their
victims within the Eastern part of Nigeria. Just in this year 2019, over 700
People have been killed by this Terrorist group, over 5 Churches attacked, over
10 clergymen and women have become prey to this Terrorist group who are on a
Jihad mission in this part of the country. Over 20 rape cases have been
recorded where they rape women in their farms, in their homes and on the
express when they kidnap them. And also, over 100 kidnap cases have also been
recorded.
