followed the event For Ebonyi Media.
The members of the Indigenous
People Of Biafra (IPOB) led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in Ebonyi state, Abakaliki
Province of Biafra land on Monday 29th July, 2019 matched gallantly in the
streets and roads of Abakaliki the capital of Ebonyi state on public
declaration of their stand on the Federal government of Nigeria
planned nationwide RUGA scheme for the Fulani herdsmen, which has turned
the fourth deadly terrorist organization in the whole world.
The evangelical and sensitization
rally which took the centre stage of Abakaliki on Monday was unanimously
carried out by the elders, mothers, children, clerics and the
formidable members of IPOB in Ebonyi state.
This was to press home their
demand that Fulani terror group should vacate their territory as the Indigenes
that own the land, to the international community especially United States of
America and the United Nations.
Recall that the Federal
government of Nigeria on June 2019 has proposed a RUGA settlement for the
Fulani herdsmen in all the states of Nigeria with Biafra land inclusive, but
was temporarily suspended by the Federal Government of Nigeria due to
the mixed disturbing reactions from the public on the level of harm the Scheme
stands to cause on the people if should be implemented.
Meanwhile the Indigenous
People Of Biafra worldwide led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, 'Ihe Nkembu Na Ala Biafra'
has affirmed that no pieces of their land in Biafra soul will be released for
RUGA project, not now and never will an inch of Biafra land be released by
anybody even the governors and they'll keep mute and let them have their way.
To buttress this decision and
stand, the relentless and focused members of IPOB in Ebonyi state took to the
streets for the heavy sensitization and reawakening evangelical rally on Monday
in Abakaliki the state capital.
Speaking before the rally
kicked off at Azuiyiokwu Primary school opposite Mechanic site in Abakaliki,
the Public Relations Officer Ebonyi state IPOB, Bishop Stanley Nwachinemere
Iwuala stated that when abnormality and tyranny takes over the land and being watered
by those in the leadership positions, it then becomes the full responsibilities
of the common people per say to rise up and protest the injustice
unleashed on them.
The state IPOB coordinator of
Ebonyi state Mazi Igwe Ogbonnaya on his address to the people, before the
kick off of the evangelism charged them to be bold fearless even before their
enemies, according to him” this land belongs to us and nobody will take it
from us or deny us our rights of ownership' 'we shall go to the streets and
make our stand known to the whole world".
Meanwhile, the joint security forces
of Nigeria including the Nigeria Army, Nigeria police and others on
several occasions tried to block the peaceful protesters during the
evangelism in the streets but could not prevail, because they were
determined.
The movement which lasted for
almost five hours was serially taken around Abakaliki metropolis and centres
of attractions such as motor parks, markets and business premises within
the capital territory, for best dissemination of their message.
Thousands of Biafrans and
lovers of freedom across the globe on the various platforms of the social media
has continued to show appreciation and kudos for the bold step taken by
the Indigenous People Of Biafra in Ebonyi state at this critical time when the
evil thrives over good and justice murdered in the altar of law court
in the British created contraption called Nigeria.
The Supreme leader of IPOB
worldwide Mazi Nnamdi Kanu on his Facebook page while commending the bold step
and yet another history @Mazi Nnamdi Kanu shortly after the event wrote:
"When we said no inch or
quarter of our blessed land of Biafra will be surrendered to Miyetti Allah
Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN) a.k.a Fulani herdsman, the fourth most
deadly terrorist group in the world in the guise of RUGA, Waterways Bill or Nigerian
Army Cattle Ranch, we meant it.
Our priests, mothers, fathers
and children reinforced that message today when they took to the streets of
Abakaliki Ebonyi State capital to remind the weak minded, two-faced governors
from the East that we mean business. There will be no RUGA anywhere on Biafran
soil.
I encourage Shiites across
the north and elsewhere to emulate the resilience of IPOB by continuing with
their lawful protest and religious activities without fear. Proscription or no
proscription, we IPOB have continued to march, evangelise, sensitise and
prepare for the coming of Biafra".
Thousands of Ebonyi people
both home and abroad including lovers of freedom and Biafrans all over the
world has continued to show total support and allegiance to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in
the agitation to restore Biafra which is the only hope of Africa and black race
on the surface of this planet.
These were some of the
reactions on social media from Biafrans and lovers of freedom:
Buchi Obi on Facebook: We are not stopping anybody
in having cattle ranch, cattle colony, RUGA or even restructuring. All we are
saying is that it will never be in great BIAFRAN land, we are tired with the
(zoo) Nigeria country we want our FREEDOM.
Nzubechukwu Ikueze on Facebook: Ruga
holds no water in Biafra land.
Aguocha Chinwendu still on Facebook: Our
holy land of Biafra will never be taken by the uncircumcised Fulani terrorists.
These and many more were the
reactions of Biafrans on social media on this regard.
