EMERGENCY! EMERGENCY!! EMERGENCY!!! BIAFRA: ROAD USERS CALL FOR URGENT INTERVENTION ON ENUGU/ONITSHA EXPRESS ROAD

The ever-busy Enugu/Onitsha express road, which serves as a major link to other parts of Biafraland like Enugu, Ebonyi, Cross River, Rivers, Abia and Imo States etcetera, is presently under serious threat. This route also serves as the shortest for commuters plying from/to Lagos and Abuja with their goods.

The popular 9th mile   water tanker suppliers have no other alternative road to make their supplies besides this same outlet. For the past five years, the road under question, has callously been abandoned by the Enugu State and Nigerian governments respectively. It should be stated here that this same deplorable road was served the erstwhile governor of Enugu State, Barrister Sullivan Chime who plied it to/fro his home at Udi. The incumbent chief executive of the State, Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi aka Gburugburu, consistently ply to/fro his Nsukka home without concern.

Quite a number of companies that daily generate enormous revenue for the state government are brazenly located at the same 9th mile. The Nigerian government garners fabulous amount of money monthly through its representative offices like the Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC Plc), the largest brewing company in the African continent, conspicuously cited in the same location.

Available records prove that there exists monthly occurrence of fatal accidents on that road, with lives and properties worth millions of Naira being wasted. According to road harmonization policy of Nigeria, the federal government ought to have effected the reconstruction of the said road before now. But rather, it has been left as another decimation/destruction tool against innocent Biafran road users and their business interests.

The callous abandonment of the road by the Nigerian/Enugu State governments is a tacit confirmation of the murderous agenda of the Hausa-Fulani Islamists and their stooges in Biafraland against the people and particularly Enugu State indigenes. Between the months of April and August 2018, about twenty fatal accidents have so far been recorded on that road, involving Dangote trucks conveying bags of cement amongst others loaded with water melons. At other times, it was trucks belonging to Nigerian breweries fully loaded with drinks on delivery to locations of business interests. Trucks fully laden with crude oil products got also involved with gross spillage on the road causing additional accidents at intervals. The road is occasionally littered with broken down vehicles and trucks, terribly signifying results accruable from "failed system". Uncountable number of lives have been wasted including that of an entire family of parents and children instantly.

It is pathetically, tales of woes. Diverse kinds of motorists and businessmen and women have called on both the Enugu and Nigerian governments to show concern on the plights of the people by quickly intervening to remedy the situation.
