We can produce biological weapon conveniently. A toothless Goat will grow teeth to bite when pushed against the wall ‘’an old woman’s adage said’’ The Indigenous People of Biafra has been a sacrificial lamb since the creation of fictitious country called Nigeria by Lord Lugard in 1914. The creation of Nigeria was welcomed by the Eastern part of Nigeria with an open mind while it was initially rejected by the Northern caliphate. This immiscible solution was later described by Chief Obafemi Awolowo as oil and water that cannot mix together. The indigenous people were not consulted for this purpose.

Biafrans welcomed the amalgamation wholeheartedly; this was illustrated by the mass movement of people from this region to other regions to establish and help to develop other regions. The Igbo Biafrans are the real Nigerians. There is no place in Nigeria that you cannot find an Igbo man. There is an adage people used to say that “any town you got to and there is no Igbo Biafrans, just pack and leave that town because there is evil in that land”. Because of the itinerant nature of an Igbo man, he settles where ever he finds conducive to do his business. An Igbo Biafrans are endowed with buying and selling acumen. This is why they have a wider spread in and out of the country called Nigeria more than any other tribe perhaps in the whole world.

Sadly enough, the country we called our own refused to accommodate us. We are people rejected but our resources are not. We became endangered species in a country we wholeheartedly accepted and laboured so much to build. This is evidently clear by the inhuman treatment been meted out on the Igbo Biafrans in all parts of the North and South of Nigeria. Our traders are displaced at will, our goods are ceased, importation are made so difficult for us, we pay through our nose to get our goods to our warehouses, often times frivolous allegations are levelled against us to make us abandon our goods. When these goods land in the ports far away from us we pay heavily to the port authorities, high Custom duties, high freight charges and other extortions encountered in Nigerian Ports. To convey our goods to the market is not easy; Police check points are not checking anything but centres of extortion. The Nigerian armies who are made to man our territorial integrity are been used to extort money and intimidate innocent civilians of Biafran extraction.

We have become enemy to the same people trained to protect us with our own tax money. At every religious upheaval in other far away countries, the Biafrans are the target. When there is demonstration in other countries against Islam, in Nigeria the Biafrans are at the receiving end. They are slaughtered like animals in their numbers, no arrest is made, and no commission of inquiry set up, no one is sent to court or official statement condemning such killings. We are not safe in churches in the north; we are not safe in the market in the north. Anywhere in the North is a risk or danger zone to stay for any Biafran. Those who try to stay are living in fear all the days of their stay in that abominable region of Nigeria. But in our region, old south east, the Hausa/Fulani’s and the Yoruba’s are at home, goes about their businesses without harassment or any hindrance. They bring their cows here, intimidate us, kill us and destroy our farm lands and yet go scot free. We have maintained peaceful disposition right from the creation of Nigeria. But our peace is gradually evaporating, we believe in human dignity, the divine injunction, the golden rule delivered to us by Chukwu Okike Abiama embodied in the doctrine of ‘leave and let leave’ will soon be thrown into the air. We shall not fold our hands and watch our race been systematically eliminated, hence the old woman’s adage will soon apply.

The Indigenous People of Biafra who has shown maturity, tolerance, peaceful approach to the struggle, observed all international standard approach for peaceful protest. This should not be taken for a ride. IPOB Led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu Peaceful disposition is not an act of cowardice but in keeping to the order and strategy of the struggle.

The injustices, subjugation, high taxation placed on our imported goods, and man’s inhumanity to man was similar to the experiences of our women in 1929 that resulted to the Aba women’s rebellion. (Supposed to be called Rebellion not Riot) This choice of ‘Riot’ instead of ‘Rebellion’ was to spite Biafrans, to make it look like we are troublesome people. The colonial masters ruled by proxies. The high chiefs who were imposed on us became lords, impose high taxes unnecessarily, arbitrary arrest, intimidation, subjugation and imprisonment became the order of the day. Women of Biafra land from six ethnic groups (Ibibio, Adoni, Ogoni, Bonny, Opobo and Igbo) gathered in Owerri and Calabar and rebelled. They failed to tell us why it is called “ABA WOMEN REBELLION” when in actual sense it took place at Owerri and Calabar. Total number of women killed in that rebellion is about fifty (50) thus marking the first mass murder of Biafrans in our own land instigated by the evil British.

The history of massacre of the Igbos in the Northern region of Nigeria began in Jos in 1945. This is before independence. Thirty-one (31) years after the amalgamation of the Northern and the Southern protectorate.  In that same year, 1945 in Kano over 200 Igbos were killed. In 1953 still in Jos crises over 150 were killed. In the genocidal war Nigeria brought against Biafrans between 1966 – 1970 over seven (7) million Biafrans were massacred. In 1980 in Kano over 1000 Igbos were killed and in 1982 and 1983 in Maiduguri religious crises over 500 Igbos were sent to their early grave. The list is endless. In all these no one was arrested and prosecuted. No commission of inquiry to investigate the remote causes of the crises. Where such commission was constituted it ended with no outcome. In most cases the commission’s report is swept under the carpet.

Most recently is the barbaric massacre of IPOB protesters in Asaba, Igweocha, and Nkpo in Onitsha, Enugu, Aba and Umuahia by Hausa / Fulani Boko Haram army and Police. The deep-seated hatred and the orgy to spilt the blood of innocent, peaceful, armless Indigenous People of Biafra lately assumed frightening dimension and we are putting the whole world on notice that further intimidation and killing of IPOB family members will be met with stiff resistance. The Indigenous People of Biafra have the right to organize rallies, protest in a peaceful manner but each time they came out the Nigerian rag-tag soldiers and police mound them down. Amnesty International report of the Ngwa high school Aba massacre described the killing as gruesome and uncalled for. In their report they said ‘’Bullet were raining everywhere’’ they also said that between August 2015 to August 2016 over 250 IPOB members had been sent to their early graves.

Most pathetic was the invasion of the home of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu on the 14th of September 2017 in a full-scale military war. Armoured tanks, Fighter jets and host of combatant ready soldiers. The invasion claimed about 28 lives of the security men of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu even his dog (Jack) was killed. They have provoked us enough to pick up arms.

The Hausa/ Fulani must understand that 1966 – 1970 war was fought with nothing by Biafrans and they withstood Nigeria with her allies for good 3 years. Biafrans are endowed with the knowledge in Science and Technology which when applied now will end the zoo called Nigeria. We did it before; we can do it better now. Before the zoo forgets, Dele Giwa was an editor of Newswatch magazine. He was killed by a letter bomb. What many do not know was that the letter bomb that killed Giwa was produced in Abagana in Anambra state by a Professor of nuclear physics, an Igbo Biafran (Name withheld) in one of the famous universities in the Eastern region of this country called Biafra land. That same Professor is still living, strong and agile.

Modern war is not only prosecuted by the use of Machine guns (AK47, AK49 etc.), Artillery, Tanks, Mortars etc. These are Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) in a small scale. There are more convenient with a maximum impact weapon of mass destruction. These kinds of WMD have long range effect. This means that when used, the effect or reaction continues long after the war is ended. Weapons of mass destruction (WMD) are those weapons with the capacity to inflict death and destruction in such a massive scale and so indiscriminately that its very presence in the hands of hostile power can be considered a grievous threat. The Biafrans, naturally endowed in the area of Technology has all it takes to produce a weapon or weapons of mass destruction within its environment. This is the advantage we have over this cemetery called Nigeria. Nigeria relies on importation of her weapons while we can fabricate ours locally. We must begin now to make preparation, galvanizing what we have towards this direction. The WMD used by world powers are mainly in three categories. I may not go into details on how to produce them for security purpose. They are: -

  • Chemical weapon
  • Biological weapon
  • Nuclear weapon
They are frequently referred collectively to as NBC weapons. For security reasons, I will only introduce each of this WMD.

CHEMICAL WEAPON
These consist of liquids and gases that choke their victims, poison their blood, blister their skin or disrupt their nervous system. In World War 1 (1914 – 1918) and Iran – Iraq war (1980 – 1988) Chlorine gas (a choking agent) and Mustard gas (a blistering agent) were combined and fired in artillery shells against entrenched troops. Other chemical warfare is Nerve Gas; it is colourless and odourless but very dangerous. It kills within a minute. Lewisite gas; a blistering agent like mustard gas. Phosgene, Cyanogen chloride, Hydrogen cyanide gas, White Phosphorus to mention but a few. They can be ordered while some can be purchased in an open market because of their other uses. Gas of WMD is sold under international regulation law. The liquid form can easily be converted into gaseous form and bottled.

NUCLEAR WEAPON
Nuclear weapon is an explosive device that derives its destructive force from nuclear reaction either fission (Atomic bomb) or from a combination of fission and fusion reactions (Thermonuclear bomb). Both bomb types release large quantities of energy from relatively small amount of matter. Nuclear weapons have been used twice in war, both times by United States of America against Japan near the end of world war2. On August 6th 1945, U.S. Army Air forces detonated a Uranium gun-type fission bomb nicknamed ‘’Little Boy’’ over the Japanese city of Hiroshima; three days later, on August 9, the U.S Army Air forces detonated a plutonium implosion-type fission bomb nicknamed “Fat man” over the Japanese city of Nagasaki. These bombing caused injuries that resulted in the death of approximately 200,000 civilians and military personnel.

BIOLOGICAL WAEPONS
Biological weapons (BW) or Germ warfare is the use of biological toxins or any of a number of diseases – producing agents such as Bacteria, Viruses, Rickettsia, Fungi, Toxins, or other biological agents that may be utilized as weapons against humans, animals or plants. The biological agents thought to be the most likely weapon or bioterrorists include B. Anthraces (anthrax), Francis Ella tularaemia (tularaemia), Yersinia pestis (plague), Variola virus (smallpox), agents of viral haemorrhagic fevers and botulism toxin, staphylococcal enterotoxin, ricin and mycotoxins. Etc.
How would biological agent, used with intent to harm a civilian population, be delivered to its target?

1.            The agent must be weaponized or produced in sufficient quantity and in a form that would be relatively stable and easily disseminated. The attack itself would be either overt (announced) or covert. The prospect of a covert attack is most disturbing because the event itself might be completely unnoticed. In the case of covertly disseminated infectious agents, there might be no realization that an attack had occurred until numerous victims fell ill and their common illness had been diagnosed. The obvious and age-old method of contamination of food and water supplies is considered a plausible modern route for dissemination of some biological agents.

2.            The most efficient method of delivering biological agent is thought to be the air born route, with agent dispersed in aerosols.

PREPARATION OF BIOLOGICAL WEAPON FROM THE BIOLOGICAL AGENTS
Depending on the organism chosen, the preparation of the agent for terrorist attack are the same. If a deadly strain Escherichia coli (E. coli) such as Enteron haemolytic E. Coli (EHEC) is the organism of choice, it must pass through three crucial stages; Isolation, Purification and Duplication. The equipment used in this process is called PCR. (Polymerase chain Reaction). The state of the organism to be used for the attack is considered. If the attack is targeted at few individuals which sending letter can do the job then the state of the agent must be lyophilized (made in powdered form) and soak the letter into it. The letter is addressed to the recipient and as soon as he or she received it and opened it, both the receiver, the sender and anybody around the scene is infected and the journey of death begins. I will explain a beat on the three stages mentioned above: -

Isolation... E. coli is a normal organism in every living human and animal intestine. When the strain called EHEC infects man, it causes diarrhoea with blood (Bacillary dysentery). Just a little quantity of the faeces (human toilet) is inserted into the PCR machine; the machine with its EHEC Probe will be able to pick the particular organism. The organism so picked is transferred to the other compartment for purification. This process takes away any impurity that may have coated the cell and expose the toxic surface. At the end of the purification, another very important compartment is the duplication or multiplication section. In this section even if it is one microbial agent was purified it will be duplicated into millions and billions for maximum impact. At this stage, the state of the agent of attack must be decided. Is it in liquid form or in powdered form? Is it to be used as an explosive etc? Then the packaging is done and sent out by the group for the Terrorist attack.

These things are easy to prepare giving the necessary resources here in Biafra land. If the zoo (Nigeria) continues to annihilate us we may have no option than to resort to WMD prepared locally. This is the advantage we have above them. Then, Biafrans may have no choice but to apply any of the above mentioned. Then, the word ‘’mercy’’ shall no longer exist in the dictionary of our mind.

The struggle has entered a dangerous dimension and this write up is a wakeup call for IPOB to get set to take our freedom by force. Freedom is not given, freedom is taken. We have systematically followed the internationally accepted norm for self-determination so if we take up arms now the whole world would bear us witness that we have followed all internationally laid down procedure for peaceful self-determination yet we are being killed at will. Self-defence is enshrined in Nigeria constitution and is provided in the UNO chatter. But we must be prepared for self-defence because the enemy will never fold their hands and watch us go.  A stitch in time saves nine.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, WE HAVE DIED ENOUGH.
