In Nigeria, elections are held every four years. The election is either funded by individuals or political parties. First, Nigeria electioneering campaigns are marred by what is called political violence, Social unrest, political instability, violation of fundamental human rights and power obsession, to mention a few. This can be traced to moral bankruptcy hence it appears to be the fountain of their social maladies which is incurable because of the recycling of these old politicians.

Interestingly, these leaders may have some aspects of the Machiavellian political ideologies to suit their whims and caprices. Nigerian politicians use the old slogan of the "end justifies the means" in other to attend to their envenomed illegal commerce which are; the election maneuver, murder, arson, assassination and fraudulence which they galvanized to gain and retain power.

Examples can be drawn from the recent primary elections conducted in all the states of Nigeria. Let us use Imo state as a case, what passed between Rochas Okorocha's son-in-law Uche Nwosu of APC and Senator Hope Uzodinma of the same APC. As election campaign is on the way national and state treasuries are seeing itself placidly sagging with epileptic withdrawal system in other to win and retain power. All these perpetrations of violence and "fraudsterism" testify to what election means to every Nigerian.

For them, election preaches nothing but exploitation enterprise in which the politicians always gain to the detriment of the masses. My question to Easterners (Biafrans) do you know the ethics behind the domination of the seat of power by one section of the ethnic groups as their intrinsic birthright? The so-called Igbo leaders or Ohanaeze who maintain that Nigeria politics is ethnically based, that there is nothing wrong with the Northerners holding sway on the presidency, instead of for them to join hands with the IPOB and fight our common enemy. They form an opposing camp, clamouring for restructuring and rotational presidency. They do not know the evil Islamization agenda of their Fulani masters.

The reason(s) why Biafrans must boycott every election in Nigeria, first ethnic-centred politics encourages and nurtures election rigging, politicking, political opponents who invariably are from other ethnic groups. Secondly, election mal-practices are one among many factors. We cannot lose sight of the money politics which has turned out to be the accepted" ethic" that determines the political viability of any candidate in whatever level of the political office goes to the highest bidder.

For example, the person who paid highest is the presidential flag bearer of PDP but in standard democratic settings, such does not exist. Further, vote-buying, election funding....... where the Acting chairman EFCC said, "We are working with the INEC to stop vote buying, we are seriously pursuing this" which means that Nigeria politicians are indulged in vote-buying through the PVC. Moneybags go to polling units. Another is the use of security agents to perpetrate fraud as it happened in Ekiti and Osun states. Hence, money becomes bait used to attract and catch the franchise of innocently ignorant electorates who savor for a cup of garri as a means of their daily bread.

This political inducement has side effects on and after the election. Whoever bids highest and got (s)elected will first recoup his investment, settle his benefactors, friends and family before thinking of working for the electorates. Now tell us why Biafrans must not boycott any election and seek for a referendum and the restoration of Biafra nation! A stitch in time saves nine. Referendum is the answer. Biafra restoration is our last hope.
