I have noticed some misconceptions and misperceptions from most of my brothers from the coastal region about the new Biafra agitation. I will analyze the facts you need to know. 1) Biafra agitation has nothing to do with hydrocarbon crude oil deposit in Niger Delta; Imo, Abia, Anambra are currently oil-producing states in the zoo called Nigeria, with huge natural gas reserves, not forgetting the enormous untapped coal deposit in Enugu. 2) Igbo land as part of Biafra is not landlocked, It has numerous access to the sea, including through the River Niger. 3) Biafra does not or in any way signify war, violence, arm struggle or any sort of physical confrontation. BIAFRA IS NOT WAR; Its simply Political, Economic, and Socio~Cultural freedom from a feudalist state ruled by terrorists and jihadists. 4) Biafra is not a call to massive exodus to Biafraland; Every Igbo or Biafran must not live in Biafraland; Those who wish, could still maintain their residency wherever they are, as well, own properties anywhere in the world including Lagos, Abuja, Kaduna, Kano, Bauchi etc; There are many domestic and international treaties, conventions, and laws that protect assets of non~citizens everywhere in the world that will be applied appropriately. Owing to that, the zoo will not be an exception. 5) The new Biafra shall be a coalition of desirous and willing ethnic nationalities in the defunct Eastern region and would never be a forceful annexation of any unwilling ethnic nationality within its current geo~political definition. Ijaws, Ibibios, Anangs, Efiks, Ogojas and host of other ethnic minorities shall possess the privilege to decide whether to tango politically with our Igbo brethren or go their own separate ways, or remain part of currently deficient zoo called Nigeria 6) Biafra is a train of peace and liberty; A desire for liberation from institutionalized stumbling blocks like the quota system and federal character principles in Nigeria's quasi~unitary society. It is a movement against internal colonialism, tribal gangs, economic marginalization and political subjugation of the old eastern region and ethnic minority neighbours.
7) It had nothing to do with hate, bigotry or ethnic chauvinism; Its just a desire to live in a healthy society where your tribe, tongue, religion or creed does not define who you are, or how far you would go in your career. What more can I say? When we fail to know the truth, we forget that those who love Nigeria and want it to remain one, are those benefiting directly or indirectly from it, because Freedom, Justice, Equity and fair play are demanded by the oppressed and not the oppressors.
When we fail to know the truth; The seed of disunity the northerners planted in 1967 (before the war) by creating River state and southeastern state out of the eastern region will continue to grow. In other words.
When we fail to know the truth, we forget that "Bending Corner Is Not The End Of The Road, But When You Refuse To Bend, That Becomes The End Of The Road For You" What do I mean? "Disunity is not the end of the road for us (SouthSouth & SouthEast), But when we fail to unite, that becomes the end of the road for us, because we will keep fighting ourselves as imaginary enemies.
