The Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) in Ebonyi state, Abakaliki
province of Biafra land held their general meeting at Abakaliki the capital of
Ebonyi state on Tuesday 31 July, 2018.
During the meeting Some issues affecting the struggle for the
restoration of Biafra in Ebonyi state was discussed and rectified to the glory
of Chukwuokike Abiama.
The state IPOB coordinator, Mazi Igwe Ogbonnaya speaking shortly after
the opening prayer by Bishop Nwachinemere Stanley who is also the state PRO the
Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB), emphasized on the need for all the
coordinators and principal officers in the state to work collectively in
ensuring that they discharge their duties and responsibilities appropriately as
at when due. He equally called on the general members to help and support their
coordinators and principal officers by attending meetings regularly and making
sure that their financial contributions especially their monthly dues are
updated.
He further highlighted on some other important confidential issues which
could not appear on the print due to security purposes.
Speaking on his own, Mazi Wisdom Ezike N. the Ebonyi north senatorial
IPOB coordinator, appreciated the general members for their doggedness in the
struggle and level of cooperation they have exhibited so far, as well as some
coordinators and principal officers who has been working assiduously to move
the state forward especially with their financial support. He therefore called
on some coordinators and principal officers who are not living up to
expectations to step up to their responsibilities, because the members are
looking up to them.
Mazi Kelechukwu Egu challenged the state IPOB entirely to work harder to
be reckoned by other States and provinces in Biafra land such like Igweocha,
Aba, Onitsha etc.
On his own side, Mazi Okechukwu Okocha the state IPOB mobilization
officer, called on Ebonyians within and outside the state to affiliate with
those at home to see that things are moving the way it ought to, especially in
the area of opening new family units. He equally called on them to support the
state financially, because it is not easy for those present in the state due to
the economic squalor of the state in general. "Our brothers in Igweocha,
Aba, Onitsha, Enugu and the rest of them should look back home to give their
total support for the state to move on and be like Igweocha or Onitsha
more".
Speaking after him the state IPOB media head, Mazi Ogeh Friday
Igiri urged the general public to help the media in calling their attention to
the situations happening around their areas for proper reportage, he called on
units, zones, and senatorial coordinators to forward the names of their media personnel
for easy, wider and speedy information dissemination, as one person cannot do
all that are in the media.
After the deliberations on the general’s opinion and other business, the
meeting was brought to an end with a closing prayer by Bishop Nwachinemere
Stanley at the hour of 6pm.
