Biafra restoration is a prestigious quest. Biafran clerics should give the struggle a maximum support in terms of prayers, morale and financial support. According to Thomas Jefferson, "I prefer dangerous freedom over peaceful slavery". In every part of the world, both men and women of God participate fully in freedom fighting. One begins to wonder why Biafran clerics are keeping mute over their freedom as well as that of their people. Freedom fighting is never a sin or a crime because God supports freedom, besides Jesus Christ is a freedom fighter.

It is noteworthy that it was a Rev. Father, namely, Rev father Miguel Hidalgo, a Catholic priest in Mexico, who kicked off Mexico war of independence. He realized that Mexico needed to be free from Spain, therefore, he started it on September 16, 1810, during the regime of king Ferdinand the VII, who ruled in 1810. Rev father Hidalgo, issued his famous "Grito de Dolores” or “Cry of Dolores” in which he exhorted Mexicans to rise up.

The cry of Dolores is an expression associated with the 1810 Mexican revolt against the Spanish oppressor, a cry of sorrow and anger from the priest. His burning desire for freedom of Mexicans resulted in motivating the Mexicans to pick up arms against Spanish tyranny. Rev father Hidalgo although neither a soldier nor security personnel, but he was a thinker. He gave rousing speeches, visited men and women fighting for him and was the heart and soul of their strength. During his fight against Spanish dictatorship he never renounced his priesthood.

Although the Catholic church distant itself from his struggle to bring freedom to his people, He did not despair, rather was courageous to lead the war for a year. After he was captured and executed in the year 1811, others picked up the struggle. Today Rev Father Miguel Hidalgo is considered the founding father of Mexico.

Biafran clerics are urged to emulate the braveness and formidability of Rev Father Hidalgo, who played sensitive and major roles for Mexico’s independence. You don't need to be a soldier or security personnel to be able to create meaningful impact in this ongoing Biafra restoration struggle. Remember what the Bible says "in the time of John the Baptist the kingdom of God suffers violence and only the violent taketh it by force". This is the word of Chukwuokike.
In Biafra we stand.
