According to an Igbo Biafran proverb "any man that answers a name given to him by a stranger and forgets his original name, either the man is foolish or a slave forever". The origin of Africa’s problem started when Africa out of fear and betrayal allowed the Romans to change their ancestral name. The proper name of today’s Africa is ‘Ethiopia’ or black nation.

The name Africa was carved out from the name of a Roman army general called Scipio Africanus who defeated the then African warrior called Hannibal Barca in the first Punic war in 241 BC. Since then, today's Africa has never known peace.

African leaders use AU as a platform to recycle all manner of corruption and also celebrate insincerity. It is only in Africa that an organized body like African Union will give out such sensitive and high profile award-"anti-corruption champion" to the current president of Nigeria. It is either the award is an ironical one or Africa Union is contaminated with Nigeria’s chronic virus (bribery).

The question is why do African leaders lack sense of history and reason? Can Europe, America, and Asia etc give out such an award without proper scrutiny? It is shocking how such award would be given to a president in whose regime snake, monkey and dragon shallow the money belonging the citizens. If Muhammadu Buhari can win such a noble award, then the former Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet deserves an award too, because Buhari committed more crimes than him.
Below are a few out of the many crimes an award winner of anti-corruption champion committed.(1) He was among the soldiers that assassinated General Aguiyi Ironsi and Francis Adekunle Fajuiyi 29th July 1966.

(2) He plotted a bloody coup in 1983 and overthrew a democratically elected president- Shehu Shagari.
(3) He violates court orders
(4) He publicly made hate speech on American soil in 2015, how he will treat those that voted for or against him.
(5) His latest silence on bokoharam and Fulani herdsman menace in Nigeria. The list is endless.
It is time for the people of Africa to watch out and monitor AU’s activities and ask questions about their corrupt administration because the common and poor citizens are the people facing the agony and sufferings imposed by African leaders in various countries of Africa. African Union has never taken any serious action about the recent killings happening in Nigeria currently, and one keeps wondering why?

It is time for Africa’s bold citizens to work hard like other continents to clean up the mess caused by corrupt African leaders. In Biafra, we stand.
