On Tuesday, the 20th of June 2017, a huge crowd gathered at the palace of His Royal Majesty Eze I. O. Kanu in Afara-ukwu Ibeku, Umuahia in response to the urgent call by Nnamdi Kanu.

The call attracted the Indigenous people of Biafra from different parts of Biafra land. The people in their numbers came singing various Biafran songs and other songs of freedom, which were sang in different dialects. The people in attendance included Biafrans from igwuocha (River state) Anambra, Abia, Akwaibom and others including the world Igbo citizens (WIC).

Speaking in the world Igbo citizens gathering, the governor general Chief Sunday Abariso said that they are happy to honor the call made by their leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. He said that WIC is recognized both locally and internationally and as long as they live, they shall stand strongly behind Nnamdi Kanu any day any time.

The national women leader Mss Akpamgbo Udochukwu Okorie in high Spirit pledged that no one would betray Biafra, that attempt to do such shall attract the wrath of God Chukwuokikeabiama.

Kanu said that "Yesterday, I asked Darlington to send a message to inform them that I want to see IPOB members here today, not too many of you got the message, but see what came out! This is to show that we are good to go, immediately there was jubilation.

The day was blessed with heavy rain and people were expected to run into a shade but surprisingly before the international observers the crowd was singing and dancing under the rain. "Give us Biafra, all we want is Biafra " is their songs.

Madam Nkechi Ihechiowa from Nkpor in Anambra state was interviewed by the Biafra TV under the Abia media, she said that she has been under this rain for more than four hours because of Biafra, that what ever it may cause her for Biafra to come she was ready for it.
