The media team of IPOB from states in Biafra Land and Northern Nigeria (including Abuja) paid a solidarity visit to the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in his home town, Afara Ukwu Ibeku, Abia State on June 7th 2017.

The colourful event which witnessed the presence of HRM  Eze Okwuchi Israel Kanu (the father of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu) was indeed a moment of ecstasy among the Kanu’s family and the State Media Team. The leader of the delegation (Mazi Igwe Agbai) who represented the National Media Cordinator, warmly congratulated Mazi Nnamdi Kanu for his bailout after almost two years of his incarceration. Mazi Igwe Agbai praised the Most High Chukwu Okike Abiama, who made it possible and also prayed for more strength to the leader of IPOB.

Welcoming the delegation, made up of writers, editors, camera men, photo journalists, news casters, news broadcasters, reporters etc, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (Mazi Nnamdi Kanu) commended the team of Biafran Journalists for their doggedness in the face of the intimidation and falsehood from the Nigeria press.

He said, “Your collective works have been making IPOB and the Biafran struggle to be trending always”. He expressed his gratitude to the states team as he acknowledged that their efforts were working wonders in the fight for our freedom, especially as expressed on the sit-at-home exercise of 30th May, 2017.

He advised the Biafran media men and women to keep on with their great works, especially on the social media. He revealed that our enemies will always try to reduce the impact of our efforts by reducing the number of ‘likes’ in the Facebook pages, but that we should not been deterred.
