TEARS OF THE SUN.

Poem: written by Ada Nnamdi Kanu.

The cannon has long kissed the sky,
Yet the ghost still dwells with us.

Faraway in the Savannah,Guns and bullets drummed in our home's.
Little children running here and there
to avert the wrought  of stray bullet.

Bombarded and dissoluted are we
Helpless children laid to rest by kwashiorkor.

We are all casualties in one way or the other. Both those at home and the emissaries abroad.

We are all victims of the needless bloodbath.

As we watch helplessly to the slain of our brothers. Perhaps one day our bones will later sing or cry out for vengeance to the murderers of our innocent children.

Though it rains,

The sun will shine again.
