PANIC IN ABUJA PRISON AS BUHARI APPOINTS AHMED JA’ AFARU AS NEW PRISON GENERAL CONTROLLER
Ahmed Ja’afaru assistant general controller on the Nigerians prison service Abuja have assumed office and replaces Dr Peter Ekpendu, who retired from service on May 17, 2016, after the mandatory 35 years in service.
the news made available to the press by the Permanent secretary of the interior ministry Mr Bassey Akpanyung, on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, in Abuja.
This has reportedly sparked tension among inmates in the Abuja prison sighting fears that the newly appointed chief is brutal and evil.

There is also concern about the leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, who is currently behind bars in the Abuja prison Kuje, his life; his well-being could be at risk since the newly appointed controller is a brutal northerner
