MEND

MEND should seriously think twice before spewing any more nonsense. From what they vomited in this statement, it is obvious the bus has long left them behind, stranded at the station.

Whenever hardcore Biafrans see a supposed Biafran or group of Biafrans acting or speaking in such a way that go against the Biafran dream, they usually suspect them of being cross-bread; of having Fulani, Hausa, or Yoruba blood running in their veins. Today, Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger-delta (MEND) is being seen in that light. No thanks to a recent press statement credited to them.
MEND, the armed group which – which few months ago – engaged in attacks to oil installations in the country; attacks on security agencies; and in kidnapping of foreigners and prominent Nigerians, demanding ransom.
, was reported to have broken its silence to condemn Niger-delta Avengers. The Avengers had recently engaged in bombing military installations and seeking for the freedom of Nnamdi Kanu. MEND did not like it.
In a recent statement purportedly signed by spokesperson of the group, Jomo Gbomo, it claimed to have carried out "rigorous and robust analysis, debate and view of political events in Nigeria within the past 12 months; particularly as they affect the Niger Delta region." and resolved to continue to respect the ceasefire (it) declared May 30, 2014 against key economic interests of the Nigerian state. The group said the "painful but necessary resolution" to respect the ceasefire was borne out of its belief that as President Muhammadu Buhari marks his first year in office, he deserves more time to stabilize the country, which was "run aground by the ill-fated, corrupt and visionless immediate past administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan, "which pauperized the Nigerian people to the alarming degree we all experience today."
MEND then distanced itself from the activities of Niger-delta Avengers, but went on to declare that "the sudden emergence (of the Avengers) has absolutely nothing to do with the Niger Delta struggle but rather a tool by certain elements to destabilize the current government."
Now, going by the statement made certainly by some Hausa/Fulani, and Yorubas elements disguised as MEND, there is no doubt that the lying APC government must have a hand in it, with its thugs. No doubt, it is a propaganda stunt. First of all, the so-called MEND stated categorically that "the movement for the emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) wishes to condemn and dissociate itself from the recent activities carried out by a group known as the new Niger Delta avengers." secondly, they went further to say.. "their (The Avengers) sudden emergence has absolutely nothing to do with the Niger Delta struggle but rather a tool by certain elements to destabilize the current government." what this means is that. Hausa/Fulani and Yorubas, seen that their divide-and-rule stratagem against Biafran peoples are no longer working, they wanted to use the so-called MEND statement to try and re-enact it.
This MEND also reported as having said that the Niger Delta region shall not be part of a secessionist Biafran state, that the group rather "believes in one strong united Nigerian federation where the principles and ideas of Resource Control; true federalism; rule of law, respect for human rights, democracy, free enterprise and a vibrant civil society are well entrenched in the grundnorm and put to practice" they added.
Here, it becomes easy to see the stupidity of these men. Is it not Muhammadu Buhari, the pedophile Nigerian President, who is a corruption personified, and a murderer that they expect to secure all the things quoted above? Is it not the same Buhari we know, the one that raped a nine year old school girl, who came in one day to play with his daughter one faithful afternoon? He later got the girl, Aisha, pregnant at 12, who today parades herself as Nigeria’s first lady.
At this point, it becomes pertinent to ask MEND: “Before the creation of Bayelsa state, Rivers, Delta, Cross River, Ikwa-Ibom, Abia, Enugu, Ebonyi, Anambra and Imo states, with military fiat, what were you called? We used to think that MEND leadership was wise, but now we are thinking twice.
MEND claimed they believe in a "strong united Nigerian Federation” with the different ideals they enumerated. But the question is, has MEND got all those ideals today?  Assuming we go by that statement, why then did all 36 states that made-up the so-called Nigerian federation did not agree with the recent grazing reserve bill? Why are all South-eastern governors boycotting the bill and stating that they do not have enough land it?
MEND made mention of rule of law and respect for human rights. But when IPOB members gathered at National High School Aba, Abia State, on February 9, 2016 to pray, and were massacred by the Nigerian police, army, and navy, and others, under Buhari’s orders, was that rule of law? What did MEND do?
As for "law", does Nigerian government respect any law? If yes, why will EFCC invite Femi Fani-Kayode for questioning over some money that allegedly got missing during him as Aviation Minister, under former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s regime, only for siege to be laid on his Abuja residence when he honoured the invitation? As if that was not enough, EFCC have detained him after claiming they received court approval to do so. Is that not an abuse?
MEND and all those shifty characters who think they can always collect bribe to betray their people should know that the days for such businesses are gone. Biafrans have their media now to counter any lie concocted to hoodwink the gullible by the highly compromised and shameless Nigeria media.
What about the case of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Director of Radio Biafra and Biafra Television. This noble character and freedom fighter has been illegally detained and abused variously after an Abuja federal high court granted him bail. Is that not a breaking of the law, and an abuse of order and the so-called Nigerian 1999 Constitution?
MEND, which claimed to have dissociated itself from Biafran secession, is one group of people contracted by APC to try and stop the Avengers who are on the right track to restore their people's honour. By the way, is Nigeria united? If yes, why would an Hausa/Fulani cattle rearer come all the way from Kano to own oil blocs in Bayelsa while Boko Haram has bombed Bayelsa people out of the North?  As MEND and its followers resorted to begging for the demeaning position of oil-pipeline guards, are not ashamed that they are guarding Fulani herdsmen who are stealing the oil in their backyard.
Without considering all these in its rascally statement, all the above posers should be enough prove to anybody that the so-called statement by MEND was nothing else but Hausa/Fulani and Yoruba APC political supporters speaking for their people. Or they are fools from Biafraland seeking attention and political patronage from their conquerors, the Fulani. They may be some of the fools with alien blood seeking the crumbs from their master’s table.
Continuing, MEND said "we have always made it clear that unless the root issues which gave birth to the agitations in the Niger Delta region are addressed, in the form of a sincere dialogue, this progamme (amnesty) will only continue to remain a mere cesspool of corruption. In order to create an enabling environment for dialogue on the Niger Delta question, the movement for the emancipation of the Niger Delta MEND urges President Muhammadu Buhari to release the Okah Brothers Henry and Charles who were arrested in 2010 on trumped-up charges. The release of Henry and Charles Okah will be the key to any form of dialogue in helping to bring stability to the volatile region". Only a fool and a daft Biafran son or daughter will take seriously all the nonsense that these APC contracted political harlots, have said.
This is the useless MEND that could not find courage to condemn the atrocities of Buhari and the Fulani herdsmen massacre of Biafrans and other peoples in the wicked contraption called Nigeria, is thinking of standing in dialogue for Biafrans. They should concern themselves with guarding oil pipelines for their Fulani overlords.

Next time, MEND should seriously think twice before spewing any more nonsense. From what they vomited in this statement, it is obvious the bus has long left them stranded at the station.
