We must not allow Buhari and his mad dogs, the evil Directorate of State Security (DSS) to continue to hold Fani-Kayode in illegal detention when we know that he is innocent, outspoken, and speaks the truth.
Nigeria remains a jungle where truth is taboo. Once
you oppose Buhari's government and its maladministration, consider yourself a
prisoner under the guise that government is fighting Corruption. This has been
the case even when highly corrupt members of the ruling party, the
fantastically corrupt All Progressive Congress (APC), are walking free with
security escorts.
Chief Femi Fani Kayode (FFK), former Nigerian
Aviation Minister under Goodluck Jonathan’s government was always on the path
of truth, without minding whose ox was gored, which incidentally is the same
premise upon which Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Radio Biafra London
stand for. That was why on May 9, this year, he was arrested and detained. The government
claimed his arrest bordered on the usage of governmental funds to execute
political campaign projects.
This is in spite of the fact that sponsors of Buhari’s
2015 election fraud, like his political “ATM machine”, former governor of Rivers
State, Rotimi Amechi, is walking free today as a minister. This shows that Buhari's
dictatorship takes no chances in nailing critics and oppositions, even when
they speak the truth highlighting his incompetence.
Whenever Buhari talks and acts against corruption
with that holier than thou attitude, a lot of people who know him well shudder.
This is because they know him to be an embodiment of corruption, a front-liner in
the United States of America (USA) 1994 Halliburton Bribery Scandal; and the
chief architect of the 1999 misappropriation of Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF)
funds. This is why any corruption probe should start from Buhari. After he has
purged himself of all his corruption atrocities, then he can stand on the moral
high ground to go after others. Unless this is done, he is just a good example
of one living in glass houses and throwing stones.
Nobody is lost on the reality that Kayode's
continued criticism of Buhari’s Islamic party, the All Progressives Congress (APC)
had been giving Buhari sleepless nights. We are well aware that Fani-Kayode was
against the illegal arrest and detention of the Leader of Indigenous People of
Biafra (IPOB) and Director of Radio Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. He was among a
few conscience-driven people, who stood their ground in insisting that Kanu was
disseminating gospel truth against extermination of Biafrans and the
Islamisation agenda that Buhari came into governance with. Fani-Kayode resisted
those who accuse Kanu of preaching hate.
We are well aware of the reason behind Buhari’s
illegal arrest and detention of Fani-Kayode this period in time. Recently, the
African Hitler, Buhari, had in his home town in Kastina State vowed to die
rather than see Biafra restored. It was to make good his threat that be decided
to illegally arrest and detain all sympathizers of the Biafran course whose positions
and writings were exposing the legitimacy of Biafran and the Biafran struggle to
other nationality groups in the contraption called Nigeria. Fani-Kayode was
high on the list.
We must therefore state here that Fani-Kayode is an
honest man, a venerable individual who chose to raise his voice in defence of
the voiceless majority. We understand what he is going true, and ask him to
remain strong in spite of Buhari’s dictatorial incarceration of him, as well as
the intimidation and tortured. We know that the Nigeria media is keeping quiet
because the heartless zoo-keeper, Muhammadu Buhari, and the Adolph Hitler of
our time, has bought them over. We know the task to which they have pledged
themselves was to report garbage rather than reflect the thoughts of noble of
freedom fighters and critics of government.
This is why we expect the Yoruba people to rise up
in defence of their own. We implore the Afenifere; Odua Descendant Union (ODU),
Odua Solidarity Forum (OSF) Coalition of Odua Self-determination group (COSEG);
and all well-meaning Yoruba youth groups to please rise up in support of an
illustrious son. We must not allow Buhari and his mad dogs, the evil Directorate
of State Security (DSS) to continue to hold Fani-Kayode in illegal detention when
we know that he is innocent, outspoken, and speaks the truth.
