BIAFR

Nigeria claimed to be a democratically instituted country in the phase of other nations. Dr Nnamdi Kanu, who is the affirmed leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra, Director of a London-based licensed radio station (Radio Biafra) and the Commander of the army of Biafra, was illegally arrested on 14th of October 2015 by Nigeria Department of Security Service (DSS). He was accused of jetting into Nigeria with no passport, possessing two passports and possessing great sophisticated gadgets. The Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday, December 2015 granted the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, bail, to be leased unconditionally by Justice Adeniyi Ademola. Mr Kanu’s release by the federal court came a day after a Magistrate Court sitting in Abuja struck out all suits filed against Kanu by State Security Service. Magistrate Shuaibu Usman struck out all criminal charges levelled against Mr Kanu after counsel to the State Security Services, Moses Idakwo, filed for discontinuation of the matter on the instruction of his client. On December 22nd, 2015, Kanu has levelled six others charges bordering on treasonable felony and the verdicts of the various courts to release him. The Nigeria Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress was at the weekend announced their readiness to embark on nationwide protest to push the federal government to reverse its current pump price or increase the minimum wage to #90, 000 from #18, 000.Remember, On the 4th of May 2016, Mr Mohammed Buhari announced the removal of fuel subsidy and set official pump price at #145 per litre. This has given the majority of Nigerians sleepless nights.
In other to work against the wish of the masses, the federal government has passed through court to stall the upcoming nationwide protest by TUC and NLC. The National Industrial Court, NIC, sitting in Abuja has stopped the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, and the Trade Union Congress, TUC, from embarking on a strike action tomorrow being Wednesday 18th of May 2016. If such order will be honoured by TUC and NLC, that means the justice system in Nigeria is bigger than the generality of Nigerians. And that of Nnamdi Kanu's order by the same courts of jurisdiction to release him unconditionally must stand. If both orders will not be balanced as expected, that means the executive arm of government has swallowed both judiciary and legislature and is a confirmation of doomed state. BY Prince Richmond C.
