As today 30th of May 2016 marks the peaceful celebration and remembrance of Biafran fallen/living Heroes and Heroines, the unexpected occurred as Nigeria/Buhari tyrant led administration ordered troops of Police, soldiers and Boko Haram militia to turn it bloody. The remembrance which took effect from church service to visitation was amassed with lifeless IPOB members in churches, streets and homes. This Occured as passersby and lovers of freedom were not left out by the sporadically dispatched bullets pierced head, hips, leg, limp, stomach of injured.
As part of celebration and remembrance accorded to Biafran living and fallen Heroes and Heroines, members of the Indigenous People of Biafra gathered across Biafraland and other places, mainly Church procession and singing of songs along streets. The anniversary celebration turned bloody when soldiers of the 312 Artillery Brigade confronted the IPOB members, Over 20 People has been killed as military opens fire at them in Nkpor, a suburb of Onitsha, Anambra state. The military shot at the peaceful celebrants and arrested scores and whisk them away.
According to an eye-witness, Mr Kelgrin: " Over 20 People killed as military opens fire at unharmed Biafra protesters in Nkpor, Anambra state. They were said to be on the procession, marking Biafra Day! Biafra heroes day is marked 30th May Every year, as the group remembers it fallen heroes of 1967-1970 civil war",
Another eye-witness One Mr. Onyeka Oraeki, in a video he shared on Facebook, it showed when the military started shooting at the peaceful celebrants and arrested about three guys and whisk them away.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr. Alli Okechukwu, confirmed the incident, but declined to give details about the lives lost.
According to him, “We are busy clearing the blocked roads in Onitsha, to ensure that normalcy returns. We are not counting the number of casualties at the moment,” he said.
The military officers were reported to have also killed five members of MASSOB, who they confronted along the Asaba-Onitsha Expressway in Asaba. 21 arrested in Imo State. The police PRO stated that a pregnant woman was hit by a stray bullet and she is receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre, Asaba. Authorities of 4 Brigade of Nigerian Army in Benin, Edo state also confirmed the death of two IPOB members who were reportedly shot dead during the Biafra Heroes’ Day Rally in Asaba.
Buhari should create more guns, bullets and prisons because we are not ready to let go of Biafra because of his threat. We have been peaceful, and we will remain calm in our quest for Biafra restoration.
I therefore call on Buhari to release Dr Nnamdi Kanu and other peaceful Biafrans under his custody.
Also call on International Criminal Court, International Court of Justice, British government, European Union, United Nations, International Meeting of Experts, Amnesty International, ECOWAS, and other Relevant bodies to fasten up their attention towards the request of Biafrans: arrest Buhari for genocide, free Dr. Nnamdi Kanu and Restore the Republic of Biafra.
