A state where devious and ill-educated people are in the helm of affairs, Education is not valued. Education is the process of learning to improve knowledge and develop skills. Education is stagnated and underrated in Nigeria that is why Nigeria doesn't grow in knowledge and can never be developed in skills, in this modern world.

To start with, Joint Admission and matriculation board (JAMB) headed by Is-haq, Oloyede, as the executive registrar, is a Nigerian entrance examination board for Tertiary institutions; and was established in 1987. The examination administered by the body is available for most students who choose to apply for the Nigerian public and private Monotechnics, Polytechnics and Universities. Most of these candidates must have concluded their Senior School Certificate Examinations, administered either by West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) or the Nigeria National Examination Council (NECO).

Right from the beginning of this J.A.M.B examination, it has not been written successfully without stories like, cancelled, postponed or result withheld, thereby frustrating the zeal and efforts of students, who are willing to learn. Though the difficulties experienced by candidates from this Examination is repeatedly. This 2018/2019 exam, which started on Monday, 11th April 2019, was unethical compared to the ones seen in previous years.

Students who came from far and near for this exam were delayed. Some theirs were postponed from the scheduled date, while others were left in bewilderment. Furthermore, candidates who wrote on 13th April, at National comprehensive school, Umuokea in Obignwa finished their exams as late as 11:45pm. These candidates were exposed to dangers of the night; especially girls, knowing fully that their security is not guaranteed, while those who came from distant places were left in fear.

Honestly, students in Nigeria are in perpetual setbacks in terms of exposure to standard education. Not that Nigeria can't fund good education; rather those uneducated politicians regulating her affairs prefer spending money on frivolities to using it judiciously.
Because Nigeria can never encourage advanced education; J.A.M.B, itself has worsened issues through the way she administers and conducts the examinations. She always feels reluctant and unperturbed in taking proper actions, interested only in the money she generates rather than the wellbeing of those writing the exam. It was on record that a mystery snake made away with 36million Naira on 10th February 2018 by 2:06pm, in JAMB office in Makurdi, Benue State.
It might interest you to know that Nigeria remains the only country that loves retrogression in societal development and therefore using unnecessary exams to reduce, discourage and unfix the spirit of students (future developers), who are eager to learn. Nigeria as a country is less concerned in educating her citizens, to reduce the number of illiterates.

If this fast declining trend in the educational system is not quickly checked, there will be a time when all we will have in the state will be quacks as it is gradually surfacing.
