It is crystal clear that the people of the South East region predominately the Igbo speaking extraction of Nigeria is richly blessed with both human and natural resource cut across the zone such as crude oil and abundant Agricultural resources. The region is unarguably the centre for excellence for technological innovation and it is currently the commercial hub for the production of goods and services in Nigeria.
The two commercial cities such as Aba and Nnewi in the region are obviously the pride of technology and innovation as a result of its presence in terms of industrial activities that is deriving the economy positively.
It is quite regrettable that the so-called Nigerian government under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari is obviously relegating the Igbos to the extreme background in the scheme of things in Nigeria.
This present government in Nigeria today is generally characterized by nepotism, sentiment, ethnicity tribalism and hate against the Igbos. The Igbos before now has never had it so good since the return of democracy in Nigeria.
The present government led by President Muhammadu Buhari is doing everything socially possible to ensure that the Igbos do not enjoy the dividend of democracy that is meant for the wellness of all and sundry irrespective of your tribe and religion. The government of Nigeria today is a government of corruption, marginalization, tribal sentiment, religious bigotry and hate speech being melted out on the South Eastern religion of Nigeria.
The Nigeria government after the civil war introduced (THE ONE NIGERIA MATRA) objectively aimed for national integration in terms of healing the wound of the protracted civil war but this ideology was just a deceit and lies just to deceive the world that we are one Nigeria.
The people of the South-East of Nigeria have had an excruciating experience ranging from unwarranted killing by the Fulani herdsmen, inequitable distribution of resources, imbalance of political power. The government of Buhari is secretly killing the South East people through the various armed forces operation borne out of wickedness and hatred. What we have today in Nigeria is government of oppression, dictatorship and tyranny.
Furthermore, this government has failed to recognize the values and contributions of the Igbos towards economic growth of Nigeria and has however refused to give the Igbos the sense of national belonging into equitable decentralization of powers. This government has failed woefully in every nook and cranny of better governance and therefore influencing the insecurity, massive youth unemployment and incessant killing in the country.
The constitution of Nigeria provides the need for federal character amongst the six geo-political zones in the country but this present government has rather choose to toe the path of contravening the federal character act through sectional political appointment.
Sadly, before now the Igbo extraction is not being carried along in terms of the economic policies and programs of this government due to sentiment and tribalism and this injustice is what the Igbo are strongly fight against through the restoration of the independent state of Biafra.
May justice prevail in our land.
