In the Contraption called Nigeria, things are not always done the right way. So painfully, the Eastern leaders choose to keep quiet despite all the random killings and human right abuses against the Easterners.
The Ohanaeze Ndigbo led by Nnia Nwodo, all the Eastern governors of the country and the elites turned their backs on their people. Not even a word of condemnation from them at the carnage meted out to their people. When madam Bridget Agbahime was murdered and dismembered in Kano, nobody raised a voice, and when her killers were acquitted, the so-called leaders lost their voices. Not a single word of disapproval came from the political leaders on the numerous mass murders of our young men by the Nigerian security agents. Not to talk of the killings, maiming and raping of our women by the murderous Fulani herdsmen.
This wickedness includes neglect of the people by political leaders by not building good roads, good Hospitals, no industries for employment or Job Opportunities. Education is in its worst state ever. School compounds are dilapidated, libraries are in a sorry state where there is any, and the politicians owe teachers months of unpaid salaries. The only thing to show that there are political leaders is when they are seen moving about in their siren blaring convoys of scores of vehicles. They fuel these vehicles with the money they are supposed to invest in projects that will better the lives of their people. They narrow their plans to their selfish interest and never for the benefit of the general citizens of their states. They choose to serve the northerners.
The Miyetti Allah Cattle Herders Association of the north enter farmlands in Biafraland with a large number of their Cows to feed on and destroy everything in the farms. No one raises a voice against such evil, and this has been so for years now. These herdsmen move around with guns and machetes and kill anyone who tries to stop them from entering his farmland. The impunity of the miyetti Allah cattle herders association has gone beyond comprehension. They publicly asked the Southeast governors to sign a document that will make them the only vigilante group operating in Biafra land.
Do you know what it means for Fulani herdsmen to leave their land to serve as Vigilante group in Biafraland? This action shows clearly the uselessness of our so-called leaders, and they are not ashamed of themselves.
