WHO IS CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (C.A.N) REPRESENTING?

Yahweh Shua whom the modern day Christians refer to as Jesus Christ lived an exemplary life during his time on earth, he was transparent and did a marvellous job by advocating, standing on the gap and also fighting for the poor, voiceless, and helpless people. His humble, upright life and love for ordinary people including the disabled whose people eschewed and excommunicated stood him out. This care for the poor made him a perfect man on earth. After his existence on earth as a living being, his righteous life and good teachings attracted many people to join his disciples to follow his footsteps and also spread the gospel, which metamorphosed to Christianity, which literally means being Christ-like. 

During His stay on earth, He never indulged in any kind of politics. He only focused on helping humanity to be free from both spiritual and physical difficulties and was never afraid of speaking the truth even till his death, this made the ordinary Jews, and other people love him. His good life was the bedrock of early Christians, which gave birth to this modern day Christianity that has turned the mindset of early Christians to something else today. What we experience today is rogue types of Christians who shout Christ in the day, but in the night they abandon Christ and support every wicked Muslim activity against the holy body of Christ for money, politics and fame, automatically making themselves Antichrist.

In Africa, especially in Nigeria, the holy body of Christ and genuine Christianity has suffered a lot of setback, degradation, molestations, killings and incarcerations. The body in-charge of Christianity in Nigeria known as Christian Association of Nigeria (C.A.N) was instituted in 1976 as a counterweight to the growth of political Islam and to spread Christianity to every nooks and cranny in Nigeria. Now, CAN activities are centred on money, biased politics and worldly fame without doing its primary assignment, which is to speak for the voiceless. Helpless Christians are dying in Nigeria daily in the hands of jihadist Muslims. 

Christians in Africa, especially in Nigeria are religious orphans because nobody speaks for them. They suffer more persecutions, molestations and killings than in the time of early Christians, centuries back. These killings are routine both in Biafra land, Nigeria and Africa, while their church leaders are busy sending their family members abroad to study, enjoy themselves, ride Porsche cars and private jets. C.A.N practically watch Christians they were made to protect killed, raped and maimed by Nigerian securities outfits, Fulani herdsmen and Bokoharam without uttering a word. They neither condemn the killing of Christians in Biafraland nor speak against the atrocities committed against Christians in the middle belt. As these killings are ongoing, CAN members are busy sending condolence letters to New Zealand where 49 Muslims were killed while Christians lose their lives in thousands in Nigeria and Biafraland and still counting every blessed day.

It is only in Nigeria that Christian body known as CAN is fully involved, participating and supporting a Muslim party known as APC whose regime killed the highest number of Christians in the world. When killings were accelerating, CAN members were busy declaring nationwide prayers for the sustenance of supposed Buhari's administration and peaceful election, even as Islamic terrorist groups gruesomely slaughtered their members. CAN kept criminal quiet when IPOB members were murdered. 

The same CAN never protect their members, a woman who was preaching in Abuja was killed by an Islamic group, CAN did not raise a voice how much more a hand. A Biafran woman Mrs Bridget Agbahime was beheaded in Kano accused of blasphemy by Muslims who hated her, we did not hear from CAN. What about Justice Binta Nyako, who was the trial judge in charge of the trumped-up case they levelled against the supreme leader of IPOB Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, when she started leaning towards sharia law in the trial, CAN deliberately kept mute. Many times I wonder if CAN is truly an ambassador of Christ and church, the way they are going, Islam will successfully conquer Christianity in Nigeria because they are not helping matters at all.

After a fraudulent, bloody and Shambolic presidential election that claimed thousands of innocent citizens of Nigeria by the APC political thugs and Nigerian security agents working for APC still CAN have the enormity to celebrate the winning of the supposed accused Buhari and send Congratulatory message to the impostor in Aso Rock. The simple question remains, who does CAN really represent?

Christians in Nigeria should brace up because no one is representing them; the Islamization drum is severely beating in Nigeria.
