There has been
different agitations in Biafraland, beginning from the Aba women riot which was
led massively by Biafran Women in protest against injustice, the Isaac Boro
declaration of Niger Delta Republic that he limited to only Ijaw land and was
quelled by Odumegwu Ojukwu who was faithfully serving Nigeria at that time and the declaration of
the sovereign State of Biafra led by Ojukwu himself in 1966, also came to an
end, and it swallowed Boro with it as the enemies whom he served against BIAFRA
struggle betrayed him at the end.
The push for
Biafra restoration was quiet for some decades bearing the pain of defeat and
the fear of being killed by Government.
The people of BIAFRA
stood and watched all manner of humiliation and torture by a country they were
forced to remain with. Mr Ken Saro Wiwa made another mistake, just like Boro,
by demanding for Freedom of a portion of Biafra, Ogoni and Ijaw but in a short
period he was killed like a common criminal without the dignity of a proper
burial. His agitation may have been cut short but it wasn't a waste as it
awakened Biafrans and gave them the courage to press yet again for her Freedom.
After the death
of Boro, came the rise of many groups from our coastal Brothers in the late 90s
demanding for the Freedom of Biafrans from few areas which is today, called
Niger Delta. They went from pen to gun and back to pen. They kept on fighting
until Nigeria found a way to permanently shut them down and that was by a
miserable token of Financial inducement. The Nigerian Government went as far as
putting up IYC on Payroll and to an extent, they forgot about the quest for
Freedom as they gulped the crumbs from the table of their Slave Masters. They
became blind to all the ills that was ravishing their land. Rather than
continue to demand for Self Determination, they went for “Sovereign National
Conference, " it was substitutes with
"National Conference" without "Sovereignty", and
they accepted it but Ironically, their Slave Masters, the Caliphate trashed it
without implementation.
After some time,
a gallant Lawyer, called Ralph Uwazuruike, started an agitation for Biafra
which he called MASSOB, Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of
Biafra which had maximum support in the hinterland but like his counterparts in
the coast he was bought over by the enemies due to the tricks and intimidation
tactics the enemies lunch against our agitators. They succeeded to break
Uwazuruike and he stepped out of the struggle.
Lately, when it
seemed like all hope was lost, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB, a world
recognized biggest and most Peaceful Freedom movement, appeared. From London he
kicked off with fire and brimstone. With so much courage he called out the
Northern Caliphate and compromised Biafran Politicians to a battlefield. He
swore to fight with the last drop of his Blood.
He started
gathering Biafrans from far and wide for Support. Through RADIO BIAFRA, he was
teaching the people also.
The Present
Government of Nigeria under the supervision of an Impostor Mohammed Buhari has
fought against this agitation with every tool available to him. Biafrans has
never faced such a murderous Government who uses her power to strengthen
terrorism against Opposition.
Amidst all of these challenges, many Groups
that once lined up demanding for Self Determination, have withdrawn for fear of
being massacred by Government. They no longer talk tough or make any demand. Mazi
Nnamdi Kanu, is the man who has remained resolute and above human bribery in
exchange for his people's freedom.
The Government
came with their usual weapon of tricks and threats but he refused to give up.
They came and almost took his life but succeeded in taking the lives of those
so closed to him but this didn't pull him down. They promised him heaven and
earth but he remained steadfast and determined as ever before.
If you are a
group of Freedom Fighters from BIAFRA and you are not following Nnamdi Kanu
right now, your hate is born out of either Pride or Envy.
What Mazi Nnamdi
Kanu only needs from us, is as simple as SUPPORT AND OBEDIENCE. He can't do it
alone. He loses concentration when we fight within ourselves and waste our
energy trying to pull him.
One may ask,
what is my confidence in the present leadership of IPOB?
Nnamdi Kanu is
the man to beat in sincerity.
He is the man to
beat in courage.
He is the man to
beat in Wisdom and knowledge of the rules of freedom Fight.
He is the first
to register the presence of his movement (IPOB) in over 100 countries in the
world.
He is the only
man under oath to have BIAFRA restored or die trying.
He is the only
man that has rejected every form of Financial inducement by Government.
He has gone
through torture from Prison to Prison but hasn't bent.
In this piece, I
conclude by calling out the various Groups who claim to be fighting for same
purpose but waste so much Time and Resources trying to pull down Nnamdi Kanu,
to retrace their steps. You cannot work out success by fighting individually
from the confines of your homes or by struggling to pull down a man like IPOB
Leader. We can do a lot of things better when we unite
