The Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), Ebonyi state on 9th February,
2019 inaugurated Mbeke Family unit at Ishieke in Ebonyi local government area,
Ebonyi north senatorial district Abakaliki province to further spread the
gospel of Biafra restoration to the nooks and crannies of the state.
The Abofia zonal coordinator, Mazi Ugwu Emmanuel who inaugurated the
unit and handed over to the state while addressing the people before the
inauguration, enlightened them on what IPOB really means, their activities and
what they intend to achieve, which according to him centered on "to
restore Biafra as a sovereign state".
He further throws more light on why IPOB, led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu
decided to boycott the 2019 Nigeria organized general election in Biafra land
and the need for them to totally comply to the order of the election
boycott.
He reminded them that 16th February, 2019 which is going to be the
Nigeria presidential election has been declared total 'Sit At Home' for
Biafrans, members of IPOB and lovers of freedom in the entire Biafra land, to
drive home the quest for Biafra freedom, he encouraged them to remain indoors
throughout that day so that the international communities, countries signatory
to Africa Union, United Nations and European Union will see how serious
Biafrans are to get their freedom from the British contraption called Nigeria
therefore, supporting her exit to stand as a sovereign nation.
The Abofia unit 3 (three) coordinator, Mazi Nkwegu Emmanuel who also
witnessed the inauguration while addressing the people urged them to remain
resolute and actively participate in the agitation for Biafra restoration
because, "posterity will never forsake you or your efforts and
contributions for her freedom".
Our correspondent in the field who filed in the report said that, 'many
people from nooks and crannies of the villages within the community came out to
officially identify with IPOB, they pledged to SIT AT HOME come 16th February,
2019 to boycott the presidential election as directed by the leadership of IPOB
to buttress their demand for freedom'.
Meanwhile, the newly inaugurated Family unit coordinator, Mazi Nwuguru
Ikechukwu expressed his joy on how his people of Ishieke came out to
embrace the gospel to restore God's kingdom on earth, according to him "I
am very happy that my people wholeheartedly welcomed this message of
liberation, together we will restore Biafra, it is on our own to continue
to work hard and to do the needful according to the directives of the
leadership of IPOB apply led by our Supreme leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu till
total freedom achieved." He further appreciated those who brought the
Biafra restoration gospel to them and ensured they have a family unit in
their jurisdiction.
