THE Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB
in Ebonyi state officially kicked off the 2019 activities with mega Evangelical
really.
The Evangelical rally took place on
2nd January, 2019 at Afikpo North, Ebonyi south senatorial district Abakaliki
province.
The evangelism which was organized by
IPOB Afikpo North, Ebonyi south senatorial district was aimed at sensitizing
the entire people of Afikpo, Ehugbo, Oziza, Amasiri and other parts of Afikpo
on the struggle for Biafra freedom; it took place in Afikpo town, covering
Afikpo main market where millions of people visit for business activities on
daily basis, they equally took it down to nooks and crannies of the ancient
Igbo town rapidly developing to meet up to the standard of other cities and
towns in Biafra land.
The state coordinator of Ebonyi state
IPOB, Mazi Igwe Ogbonnaya whose senatorial district is Ebonyi south led the
Evangelism.
The young Biafrans and IPOB agitators
while on the evangelism carried placards with different inscriptions such as:
No Referendum No Election, Biafra is our inheritance we must join hands to
achieve it, Ehugbo for Biafra, Afikpo North for Biafra, we are all Biafrans, we
say no to modern slavery, Nigeria is a contraption, and so on.
In another development still on the
evangelism, the Nigeria army on a patrol stopped and arrested three members of
IPOB at Amasiri market square in the morning hours of Wednesday 2nd January,
2019 while coming from their destinations to the converging area before taking
off at Afikpo.
Till the time of this publication, no
one has heard from them as efforts made to ascertain their where about proved
abortive, the Nkwegu military cantonment in Ebonyi state when contacted through
the cantonment army public relations officer, denied having knowledge of the
incident, saying that the army in the barrack we're not aware of the
development.
Meanwhile, the African continental
representative of IPOB and the Nigeria interim coordinator, Mazi George Onyibe
when contacted over the ugly incident, says that the leadership of IPOB as
usual will take up the matter and do the necessities to protect the interest
and the right of IPOB members all over the world.
Addressing the people before the
match commenced, Mazi Igwe Ogbonnaya the Ebonyi state coordinator made it known
to them and the entire world, that no amount of intimation, molestation by the
Nigeria terrorist’s security operatives in disguise will ever stop them from
agitating for their right. He made it known to the IPOB leadership that IPOB
Ebonyi state will ever remain strong and resolute in the quest for Biafra
freedom from the evil British contraption called Nigeria.
