True Information needs to flow from the media to the masses because the media serve as the informers of the masses especially since people tend to believe the media. Unfortunately, Journalism in Nigeria may not stand the taste of time because the Nigerian media is so hungry that they can propagate flimflams, just to make ends meet mindless of what becomes of the consumers of the mischievous information.

The Nigerian media propagate information to favour a certain class of people because of the peanuts they get in return. Journalists who are in the position to speak against crime perpetration by public officials, whose activities are causing great damages to the masses, overlook the treacherous acts of these officials. The Nigerian media is so blinded with bribe that they don't see the great opportunities buried in propagating the truth, and forgetting that the masses take out time to analyze the information on their own.

It is only in Nigeria that journalists can claim to be reporting live, whereas they are in the comfort of their homes or offices. When an incident occurs, they don't care digging deep to get more information about the occurrence, rather they wait for people to post online before they can carry the news the way they want only to create tension among the masses. The main work of the media is to reach out to people and have them equipped with the right information. The work, therefore, should be done with sincerity.

In other places the media have commanded the trust of the people, because they understand the simple principles of journalism, which includes: getting the facts right and giving out all relevant facts accurately; not working for the interest of a particular people; not working for certain financial affiliation; being fair in terms of balancing stories, not causing harm to the masses and holding themselves responsible in cases of error in information, but that is not the case with Nigerian media, because their interest is only built on pleasing the people in power positions.

The NTA is one of the most watched TV stations in Nigeria, but it propagates falsehood and makes the masses believe it to be true. The latest obsession is propagating falsehoods against IPOB and her leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Unfortunately, for them and the Nigerian media at large, IPOB has all it takes to bring out the truth for the world to see. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu successfully awakened the consciousness of Biafrans and taught them how to be consistent with the truth no matter who is involved. An awakened mind can't go back to darkness. When you do well, you are praised and when you do badly, you will be shredded. That is IPOB for you. Spreading flimflam against IPOB cannot retard our steps.

With the way the Nigerian media ply her trade, it is evident that corruption and underdevelopment will continue in Nigeria and eventually see the end of her.
