Biafra: The Emergence Of New Face Of 'Nnamdi Kanu'

The seen celebration of the corrupt Nigeria politicians including the glaring hypocritical corruption fighter called PMB, as regards to the alleged demise or disappearance of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Since the military invasion of the home of the leader of indigenous people of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, in which Almost thirty(30) unarmed IPOB family members including his cousin sister were killed, the Buhari-led federal government of Nigeria has been making all kinds of misguided and unnecessary public utterances in their usual illicit manner.

They decided to fight dirty on the media with Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and accused Nnamdi Kanu of pleading for negotiation with the federal government of Nigeria; which every right thinking or reasonable fellow knows is near impossible for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to do since he has angrily turned down all pledges made to him by Muhammadu Buhari and other corrupt politicians, especially of Igbo extraction, who were sent by him(Muhammad Buhari) to lure Nnamdi Kanu into collecting bribe or accepting offer of oil wells, becoming the next vice president of Nigeria, or even carving out only the five(5) Southeast States which includes Anambra, Imo, Enugwu, Abia and Ebonyi as Biafra, e.t.c.

Nnamdi Kanu turned down those offers, insisting that all he needs and why he is here on earth is to liberate the whole of Biafrans, and even Africa as a whole from oppression and subjugation, slavery and servitude, and that those who are denied right to exist may live freely and happily in this world. That is why he is seen by many of his followers from different parts of the world as the Christ of this last age.

The Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB group which has long, from the onset, remained peaceful, law-abiding and unarmed in their activities were mayhem, hounded, unlawfully treated, tortured, incarcerated, and finally criminalised with a bad name(terrorist). It is quite unfair that the international community and the world leaders decide to look the other way and to be silent in the face of new genocide perpetrated against the Biafrans, especially the genuine unarmed, non-violent freedom fighting group(IPOB).

The Nigerian government and its murderous law-rapping military bodies came heavily against the IPOB and its leader. They may have succeeded in chasing them underground, abducting its leader by use of military force, but they should know that Biafra is a spirit, and an ideology as the likes of Wole Soyinka proclaimed; "it can never be defeated through lethal force". IPOB and its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is not to blame if they decide to pick up arms and begin to defend themselves as a people who have been carved out for total extermination from the surface of this planet earth. Of course, that is their right.

Therefore, the Nigerian government and Nigerians may see a new face and color of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB since Nigeria doesn't understand dialogue or peace but violence. It is on a note that, so far, they(IPOB) have proved to the whole world that Biafrans are peaceful and peace-loving people; as the world recorded them as the best freedom fighters ever known in the world history due to their mode of conduct and well-arranged pattern of seeking for self-determination.

 Meanwhile, the unconcerned and unlearned way with which the Judge(Binta Nyako) handling the case of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu as captured in the court on 17th October 2017 during the hearing of the case when the defense counsel to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, Barr. Ifeanyichiukwu Ejiofor was trying to answer a question thrown at him by the Judge concerning absenteeism of his client(Mazi Nnamdi Kanu) in the court. While Barr. Ifeanyichiukwu Ejiofor was explaining to the court what transpired at his client's home in Afara-ukwu Ibeku, Umuahia in Abia State during the military invasion which happened on 14th September, 2017 that caused the death of, at least, 30 unarmed IPOB members, many injured while Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his parents go missing, and their house heavily damaged with bullet wounds, the Judge interrupted unequivocally ordered for the appearance of the sureties in the next court sitting to explain all they know about the missing defendant".

This unprofessional way is shown by the Judge, I guess, must not be unconnected to influential power of the Muhammadu Buhari-led government over the Judiciary in Nigeria as he freely practices dictatorship.

 However, the second defendant, Benjamin Mmadubugwu who is one of the unlawfully detained IPOB members in Kuje prison explained after the 17th October, 2017 court hearing while granting press interview, that what IPOB and its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu are asking for is "referendum not war, and that  self-determination is the right of every Indigenous people".

I conclude by urging the international community to rise from their seat of reluctance and unconcerned nature in handling genocidal cases in Africa, especially in the issue of the indigenous populace of Biafra, IPOB, because the whole world will be affected when the loading danger ensues.

The only solution is to voice out in full support of the Biafra Referendum so that it will be conducted as soon as possible in order to save many lives; as unending extra-judicial killings of Biafran youths, women and children by the Nigerian arm forces under Muhammadu Buhari's order continues.
