THE AREWA YOUTH QUIT NOTICE WITHDRAWAL- A TOTAL HYPOCRISY BY THE NORTHERN POLITICIANS

A coalition of northern group, Arewa Youths Consultative Forum, has withdrawn the earlier quit notice it issued Nigerians of Igbo extraction living in the North to vacate the region before October 1, 2017 or face physical attacks. The group also accused the Igbos of amassing weapons in the North.

The Coalition of Northern Youth Groups (CNYG) made the withdrawal on Thursday at a World Press Conference held at Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

Among those present at the conference were the Governor of Borno State and Chairman of Northern Governors’ Forum, Alhaji Kashim Shetima; ex- Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Kabiru Gaya; ex-Minister, Alhaji Sani Daura; and Alhaji Shetima Yerima of Arewa Youths Council.

Recall that this northern group had given reasons for issuing the eviction order as being a response action to the sit-at-home call the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Mazi Nnamdi Kanu made, which saw massive compliance in the South-East.

Although much condemnations has trailed the eviction notice the northern group issued Ndigbo, the group maintained its stand. 

Consequently, several regions have equally responded with similar orders to those they perceived unwanted. The South-South region has also declared Niger Delta Republic after equally giving its quit notice to all northerners living in the South-South region. Following this is the Southwest  declaration of Oduduwa Republic and then the Middle Belt, which also declared the region a Republic.

That notwithstanding, it has been so obvious from the Hausa song that has gone viral in the country that the lives and properties of the Igbo are not safe in the North. And yet nothing has been done about it. Is it not so obvious that these northern politicians are truly playing a  lot of games in these country.

Recently, the Federal Government of Nigeria had an indoor meeting with all the state security chiefs, a meeting that took place on the 23rd of August, ordering them with all possible effort to crush and silence any one fighting and agitating for Biafra. He further stated that "Anyone caught or found in the act of agitation for Biafra or secession in the country should and must be treated as a terrorist" The question now becomes, how can it be clear that the given quit notice has been withdrawn, since the President has been given to shoot and eliminate anyone expressing his or her own human right of self determination in country wherein democracy is being practiced?

To be incisive, for the northerners to come up with these idea of quit notice withdrawal, they must have some other deadly plan(s) to exterminate all the Biafrans from existence as a people in their own land. Nevertheless, they must have fashioned out another greater evil to perpetrate  all Biafranland. But with an effective outlook, all eyes are on them and we all shall see the end of all the mess and evil being heaped on Biafrans.
