The IPOB leadership in Imo Biafraland has taken the evangelism further by inaugurating the Timber
Market (Ogbo oshishi) Family Unit. The inauguration which saw mass thronging of Biafran business
men and women was said to be the “highest inauguration in IPOB market units in Owerri Zone” by
the Owerri Zonal Cordinator (Mazi Abraham Chimamkpa).
The traders who locked up their shops for over four hours in observance of the inauguration stated
that they are poise to do more for the sake of Biafra restoration. Others who downed tool in their
saw mill factories blessed Chukwu Okike Abiama for the grace to be identified with IPOB, and prayed that Biafra be restored soon.
Speaking to Imo Media Team, the IPOB Owerri Zonal Coordinator who was on the ground with his
Deputy (Mazi Mathew Ikeagwu) marvelled at the turn-up and the love the business men and women
exhibited in hearing of the name “Biafra”. The Zonal Coordinator stated that “this is an obvious sign
that the people are fade up with the contraption called Nigeria. You can see how everywhere looks
like where there is an industrial action. Believe you me, what makes this people to shut down their
shops and down tool is too important to them. What you must understand is that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu
has really shown Biafrans love by opening our eye,s and the number of men and women you are
seeing here is a clear sign that he is unarguably, the peoples’ accepted leader. Nigerian state believe
that incarcerating him (Nnamdi Kanu) will mar the whole thing, but unfortunately, his incarceration
has bring in many sympathisers and supporters into the struggle”, he stated.
It will be recall that Mazi Abraham Chimamkpam and his deputy Mazi Mathew Ikeagwu were
recently mandated by the Director of Radio Biafra (Mazi Nnamdi Kanu) to man over the Owerri Zone
IPOB. The duo in their efforts to meet the target given to them by Director of Radio had taken a
radical evangelism approaches in raking the entire Zone for IPOB family units.
