An Igbo adage says: it is not when a tree is cut that it dies, rather, it takes a while before it dries off and be used as firewood. Same could be said of our so called political leaders and elites of today in the likes of Osita Okechukwu the VON DG and other political jobbers from the Biafran extraction, who were once the promising future's, "Timbers and Calibers" of Biafra during the war, but were cut down by the harsh economic and political realities they were subjected to by the Nigerian government immediately after the war. Today they have dried up and are being used as "firewood" by the Northern Oligarchy to further their agenda of complete enslavement and economic exploitation of the Biafran people, by misinforming and sabotaging our 21st century generation of Biafrans, who have resolved to restore their freedom and control over their future.
Osita Okechukwu speaking on Wednesday 28 September during the gathering of Abuja political Ohanaze, sited the failure of Enugu and Ebonyi state delegates to support a regional government during Jonathan's Conference, that has been dumped in the dustbin by Buhari's regime, as his reason why Biafra is no longer realizable: inferring that those delegates were Pro Biafrans, and yet voted against regional government. A quick search of the list of delegates that came from Enugu and Ebonyi States, during the said conference, one will out with the following names that were hardly known for anything, talk more of Biafra, with the exception of few prominent Nigerian politicians like the former Senate President , Senator Ken Nnamani and some former Governors, who are among the lost generation of Biafrans that are being used against Biafra restoration because of their selfish interests in the Nigerian state.
Other Delegates to the conference that came from Enugu include: Prof (Mrs) Rose Onah Frank Nweke Jnr (former Minister under Obasanjo) Onyema Ugochukwu(current minister under Buhari) Monsigner Obiora Ike(Clergy) Others from Ebonyi include: Dr Sam Egwu (former Governor) Gary Igariwey (present president general of Ohaneze "ndi ochu Akpa ha") Dr (mrs ) Adaze Nwuzo Senator Offia Nwali Prof chigozie Ogbu (product of Nigerian Censored Education system)
A fact check on this people will simply tell you that they are the direct beneficiaries of the crumps from the status quo. Besides they can equally be easily be bought over with some bags of "Ghana must go" by the Northern oligarchy representatives at the conference, against the wishes of of the Biafran masses they are said to be representing.
Also one thing is common among these so called politicians from the Biafran extraction, especially among the Igbo speaking Biafrans like Osita Okechukwu, they are the conquered Biafran victims of severe economic and political deprivation and marginalization by the Nigerian state for over thirty years since after the war: during which their generation resorted to all kinds of ill behavior and selfishness that were never part of a true Igboman, all in a marathon for the survival of the fittest after the war. Extensively, this survival pursuit of the "fittest" have gradually returned in this democratic era due to the harsh economic condition in today's Nigeria, under Buhari. Therefore we are not surprised that the likes of Osita Okechukwu and his lost generation of Biafrans have resorted to game of wit with one another in sabotaging the present generation of Biafrans in other to lace their pockets with crumbs that might fell-off from the table of their political slave masters in the name of appointments and political positions. This is just like Osita Okechukwu had faithfully served Mohammadu Buhari since his sojourn in CPC as the party's flag bearer in Anambra state and later as APC spokesman that helped to return power to the North in accordance with the statement of the Godfather of the Northern oligarchy, Sir Ahmadu Bello who said on 12th October 1960, "This new nation called Nigeria, should be seen as the estate of our great grand father Othman Danfodio, we must ruthlessly prevent change of power, we must use The minorities in the north as a willing tool, and the south as a conquered territory and never allow them to rule over us or have control over their future". Today Osita Okechukwu has been rewarded with the position of the Director General of Voice of Nigeria, with a mandate to strangulate all determined voices that are crusading for the freedom of Biafra.
