MEND and Nigerian government are left out flat and dry as Nnamdi Kanu foils yet another of their evil gambits

Nigerian government under the devil Muhammadu Buhari has played out all its cards to derail Biafran agitation, but has failed. It has attempted divide-and-rule – both amongst Igbo speaking Biafrans, amongst Ijaw people, and across the different language groups in the South-east and South-south – but has always failed woefully.

Specifically on Igbo speaking Biafrans, compromised groups like Ohanaeze, a faction of Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB); BILIE human rights initiative; unscrupulous politicians, were also used. But they all ended up disgraced and abandoned by the people.

Buhari has also used the Nigerian judiciary, especially the corrupt judges amongst them; corrupting its processes and bringing it in disrepute in his attempts to have Nnamdi Kanu, leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), jailed. He is at the moment confused on what next to do.

Buhari’s latest gambit is to blackmailed Kanu, the IPOB he leads, and Niger Delta Avengers (NDA), the freedom fighters in Niger Delta, to accept Nigeria’s continuous subjugation of Biafra. before now, Buhari and his men have offered to bribe him with money; he refused, telling them that Biafra would give him more. They offered him oil blocks; he refused informing them that the oil is in Biafraland and therefore belongs to his people. They offered to make him a governor; he refused, telling them that he was not interested in public office. Because Kanu, IPOB and NDA refused to accept his previous plots that is why the current lies.

This last plot was with some elements who claim to be leaders of the group known as Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND). They claimed to have spoken with the Biafra leader into accepted their Greek gift of renouncing Biafra to gain his release. But Kanu, a hardcore Biafran that would not even trade Biafra for his life must have given them his usually final answer: “It is either Biafra or death; it is either that Biafran flag is raised up or that I am lowered to the grave”.

Frustrated, the only thing they could do next was blackmail. They have long instituted that but as always that has also failed. It started few days ago that when the group declared: “MEND and the Federal Government have, however, flatly rejected the IPOB/Kanu hypocrisy to remain defiant in public; while accepting to secretly renounce secession”.

Interestingly, like all past stunts from the Nigerian government, this also has failed. Kanu sacked his lawyers who could not read in-between the lines and therefore could not articulate well, the leading questions posed on them by Nigeria’s compromised media. IPOB has denied any plan of negotiations with Nigerian government without Kanu leading it. So also has the NDA done; and MEND and Nigerian government is left out flat and dry.
