Dr Nnamdi Kanu will never stop putting facts straight to his enemies. In a case file sent to Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS ) with suit number ECW/CCJ/APP/06/16, compelling his defendants to pay him the sum of $800, 000, 000 compensation for illegally detaining him. He also accepted owning a Radio station based in London and founder, IPOB family which is registered over thirty (50) countries of the world. Remember that Nnamdi Kanu was illegally arrested since 14th October 2015 for entering Nigeria without a passport and possessing bulky gadgets. He is a London-based activist and citizen of Britain. Kanu told the court that he came to Nigeria to visit his parents as well to join his heavily-pregnant wife, who, he said, was expected to give birth through caesarian operation in the UK.
According to the document before the court, IPOB was registered under the United Kingdom Companies Act 2006, with certificate registration number 9141882. He further told the court that Radio Biafra Limited was duly registered under the United Kingdom Companies Act, 2006, and certified by the Registrar of Companies for England and Wales. The plaintiff Kanu told the ECOWAS court that he is not facing any terrorism charge before any municipal court of competent jurisdiction in Nigeria or elsewhere and the ECOWAS court to order his release from detention.
Kanu also wants “an order directing the defendants and/or their agents individually and/or collectively to pay $800 million to the plaintiff for the gross violation of his human rights, the subject matter of this suit, and to provide other forms of reparation, which may take the form of restitution, satisfaction or guarantees of non-repetition, and other forms of reparation that the honourable court may deem fit to grant.”
The defendants cited in the suit marked ECW/CCJ/APP/06/16, which lawyer Mr Ifeanyi Ejiofor (Kanu's Lawyer) are the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, and the Director General, Department of State Services, DSS.
