Nigerians waiting to buy fuel

For Biafra Choice writers

Nigerian government has increased the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), known generally as petrol. They branded it as removal of subsidy on the product. Minister of state for petroleum product, Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu told his bewildered countrymen that they as citizens were not benefitting from the subsidy, and so government had to remove it. The price of the product was therefore increased from N87 to N145 per litre.
Many Biafrans, who spoke to Biafra Choice Writers on the removal, took time to mock the Nigerian government saying that it has once again shown itself as a satanic, lying government, which would never tell its people the truth.
Johnson Chijioke, who is an official of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in Aba, Abia State in Biafraland said it was all deceit. According to him, the government had hoarded the product for more than six months (the longest in the country’s history) just to force the people to accept the new price increase.
He then declared that branding what was done as subsidy removal was the greatest joke of the century. “Did you believe them’ he queried, “Don’t you know that manufacturing lies and deceiving the gullible is their business in government. Instead of telling people that they were increasing the price of the product, they said they had removed subsidy. Did Obasanjo not play them the same game in the past?”
He wanted to know how it was possible to remove subsidy and still fix price. “They were not subsidizing the cow meat we eat. Why have they not fixed price for it?” he queried further.

There are many Biafrans who hold this view, and who said that it served the people right who chose to believe falsehood rather than the truth.
