The attention of Umuchiukwu Writers has been drawn to the continuous inflow of Fulani herdsmen into Aninri Local government of Enugwu state.

Speaking with an indigen of Umuelvo Emudo, who pleaded anonymously, he said, "for the past few weeks, Fulani herdsmen have been laying siege in our farmlands, thereby preventing us from preparing for this year farming". He went on to lament that "currently, the whole of Egu-Umuelvo Nenwe Emudo has been flooded with herdsmen"

It's on record that on several occasions, the women of Nenwe Aninri have protested and petitioned the governor of Enugwu State over the destruction of their crops by Fulani herdsmen.

However, the refusal of the governor to address their numerous petition had become something to worry about, especially when the governor instead condemned the actions of the people two years ago when they chased away Fulani herdsmen from their land on noticing that their governor, together with their traditional rulers have compromised with their enemies to continue to enslave and impoverished them.

On this note, they wish to plead with the Leadership of Indigenous People Of Biafra "IPOB" ably led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to please come to their aid by sending Eastern Security Network "ESN" to secure their farmlands against Fulani herdsmen, as that will guarantee their safety for this year farming.
